THIS REQUIRES EACH JOY-CON TO BE DISCONNECTED FROM THE SWITCH.
YOU MUST HAVE TWO POKEMON IN YOUR PARTY.

once you have two pokemon in you party, shake the other joy-con left and right. A 'second' player will appear.
7.jpg
Now walk into battle... TWO vs ONE... LOL
8.jpg

ALTERNATELY (WHEN YOU'RE CATCHING POKEMON) ENTER WITH TWO PLAYERS AGAIN. PLAY WITH BOTH JOY-CON IN THE JOYCON-GRIP FOR EASY SYNCHRONIZED CRITICAL CATCHING... LOL NEVER MISS A CATCH!
(note: this will use TWO pokeballs)

I get the battles, but what's the point of doing it for catching? Does it give you anything?

Jesus people, it's a neat little thing to point out can be abused.
Why is everyone this place so adamant about shitting on others for semantics.
You basically are cheating if you engage coop mode as one person

lol that's not cheating.

if your definition of cheating is using a game feature to make the game easier then any game with an easy mode is cheating because you can just use easy mode over normal and the game is now easier so you cheated...

A feature is not cheating, abusing bugs or modding game files is.

@gameboy :whip: ..it's simply increase(s) catching %-(Chance) and battling/party exp. point(s) , but please don't false advertise or exercise it's being a guaranteed cheating.. u really think the *BIG N* wouldn't know that *-(single-players) would utilize this feature to their advantage :P .. , btw Pokemon Let's Go was just a test and Alternative for Pokemon GO Player(s),-(if i was wrong then why you think this is the 1st Pokemon Game to officially trade from your Moble-Pokemon GO Account to your Pokemon Let's Go Game?) ..From Mobile to join in on the fun.. not for true core Pokemon Fan(s), as that one for true Pokemon Core Fan(s) will be released next year along with new Switch which will have more feature(s) and Also most likely Double the RAM and processing Power as the Current Switch and also BIG fix on the poor LCD screen on current one, also fix for the **RANDOMLY FAILING CHIPS** that display HDMI - out on motherboard on the switch..

my definition of cheating is using anything in a way that it wasn't intended to be used.
coop mode isn't intended to be used as one player, its intended to be used when two people are playing. so you're basically cheating when you use it alone. even if you only cheat yourself.

taking money from the bank in monopoly is cheating, because you're not supposed to.
having the bank be physically available to take money out of it is a feature though.

yeah, like saying a book isn't for reading it either pfff lol :P , if it wasn't intended- Nintendo wouldn't have made it so a Single/Two player(s) could access it by normal means-(which they can) , so logically.. yes they did intend it normally, not only did they intend it normally for people, but also just implementation to easily catch Wild/Shiny/Mythical/Legendary.. rather that normally wouldn't have been able too.. that was actually the whole point, so Little Brats-- would stop whining and be able to easily catch ANY!- *pokemon -- EVEN LEGENDARY ones, with ordinary Pokeballs :P , besides have you actually even played any REAL- CO-OP game ?? : hence - example: Resident Evil 5 .. that's a REAL Co-op game not this, not even close.. and this has nothing to do with monopoly, but that's a whole other story though, nor does it relate towards this game.. btw Nintendo Actually did say it was intended with there own words, said it was a way for **PLAYER(s)** <------ meaning One or Two people or BOTH, to use this newish feature so people can easily double the chance if not more to catch pokemon more easily , there own words ..

no one said this was a co op game. just that it has a co op mode. that was meant to bring two players together. not to be used by only one.
the thing is, there's no way to stop one person from entering two player mode. still, the intend is clear and going against it is cheating.

again, Nintendo words not mine , and again cheating** is not the meaning of something that was Natural to the game/ Implementation within the game.. Cheating is like possibly Glitching and or Activating Cheat Codes which would rather not be Intended or Natural to the Game-play is considered Cheating, which again this feature is Normal/Natural within the game, and intended to player(s)/ just used as a booster effect more or less, and or for player(s) to easily catch pokemon which would be rather harder normally to capture.. <--- which does include a Single player and or two.. -(it's not cheating) .. i suggest you read more on what cheating actually is..

Meaning of Cheating -- below" :
Definition: to act in a way that is dishonest, or to make someone believe something that is NOT TRUE**
Look at the Last word: NOT TRUE** meaning : fake, not real and or clone.. which this case.. isn't a fake and is Natural to game-play, which does exclude it from being a cheat** or rather cheating for that matter..

example: CFW = Some Injected Code to the firmware of the console , which is not normal/Natural Booting Process, then you restart your system/console accidentally connect to the Internet , and what do ya know-- you're hit Insta-BAN,.. <------ that's Called or considered cheating.. it's like cheating on your spouse or your girlfriend.. because it means you're faking her belief in you, that you really loved her.. betrayal <------ Also Called or considered cheating..

It is more "easy mode" than "cheating".

This game is already made to be easy for toddlers anyway.

exactly my point.. @Clydefrosch:whip: go play pokemon true core game(s): Pokemon Black or Black 2, then come back after you played that game.. then play this one, you will see the difference that so they made an easy mode compared to older true core pokemon games because this is for people that also came from Mobile- Pokemon GO player(s) for easy-peezy mode to catch pokemon , again used as a booster -effect nothing more, nintendo words not mine.....

i've played all the pokemon games down to a shoddy translation of the second TCG.
and I wasn't arguing this game is easy or hard.
i was arguing that this is basically cheating if you do it without a friend holding the second joycon.

also, if you think that any pokemon game released ever was hard... because they weren't. they never were. 5 year olds that couldn't even read beat Gary and caught Mewtwo...

that sounds like the definition of cheating in real life interpersonal relationships.
not the videogame definition of a cheat.
entering a cheatcode in single player is also neither dishonest, nor making anyone believe something that isn't true. does that mean cheat codes aren't cheat codes anymore?

some games have intended cheat codes to unlock like in goldeneye if you beat certain missions in certain time you gain a cheat same for lego games, but no those arent true cheats those are rewards the devs give you for accomplish certain stuff, using cheat codes that werent made by the developers then that is cheating.
