ROM Hack Suggestion save editor for diablo 3

Check the downloaded zip if it has the folder named "heroes" and a bunch files with a file extension of dat. Those are the characters.

Mac or PC shouldn't matter. I am not sure about switch firmware version, but the saves I created were from a 6.1 Switch.

Also double check if the file and folder structure in Checkpoint is correct.

I cant get this to work flawlessly. There were few issues:

1) There is no characeter saved. Creating new character at level 1.
2) No items avaialable except the gems in the stash.
3) U cant save the game. When u restart the game, u need to create the character all over again.

This is my device information

1) version 5.1 NS
2) SX OS 2.0
3) Save files replaced using latest checkpoint homebrew
4) using macbook pro high sierra to transfer the save game.

Anybody can help me?

I think ive found the reason. Its mac issue. I need to use windows to settle this issue at the properties section

Here are some saves I created. Useful as a starter save or as a base for your own characters.

- choice of paragon level save 0, 800 (recommended), 2000, 5000, or *gasp* 9999 (grind for the last 1 paragon level)
- has all characters
- each character has the popular weapon and off-hand item which are all Primal Ancients
- each character has no set armors craft your own with the blacksmith
- each character has 10k Flawless Royal Gems
- each character is Level 70 except for Wizard which is 69
- 10M regular materials
- 1M bounty materials
- 100K materials for hellfire amulets
- 2K Flawless Royal Gems in Stash
- 999 Ramalandi's Gifts for each character

Guide:
- use checkpoint to restore selected save
- load level 69 Wizard in Adventure Mode
- sell 1 or all of the 10K Gems in the character inventory (not in stash) to get billions in gold
- train blacksmith, jeweler, and mystic to level 12
- upgrade your stash to 350 slots
- craft all the armor pieces you need for your wizard build
- go a do a bounty until you reach level 70 ( recommend getting the Kanai's cube in act 3 )
- reaching level 70 in the game is a requirement to unlock the higher difficulties
- use Kanai's Cube to convert armor pieces to set armor pieces
- use Kanai's Cube to reforge legendary to get Ancients
- do regular rift to farm Greater Rift keys
- use Rift Keys to do Greater Rift 70
- after you have done a level 70 Greater Rift you can now use Kanai's Cube to reforge your items to get a Primal Ancient version

Thanks for your work dude. What you just made was all we were waiting for, a save with materials and the possibility to begin with parangon 0 and enjoyr the game for real not like a machine-gun :)

the .gam format sucks big time so I'm writing a parser for it, I feel like it would be incomplete without weapon/affix names.

Will the initial release allow for the unlocking of different cosmetic items/transmogs? Everything must surely be in the game files as I've gotten a couple ps3 exclusive skins to show up using the crappy free editor that exists as of now.

It should but I can't promise anything, there's so much that has to be done to support all that and still have it work on the console.

It should but I can't promise anything, there's so much that has to be done to support all that and still have it work on the console.

I'd be happy if initial release let's you load save, change a field like character name, and save it and it works again on switch. everything else can be built/pull requested from there

Yeah that would be nice but I'm sure that people are just going to hijack it and sell it like that other stupid editor that's been going around.

I'll be posting what I have so far on my editor to GitHub tonight most likely, I just need to extract the latest GBID's and affixes.
Hey man, I'm willing to help on this, the only question I have is what the structure of the save is, so far it appears to be encoded/encrypted somehow so I have no idea how to make sense of the files I've been poking around with hexdump but nope.

It's encrypted and uses google protobufs, I'm wondering if I should put the protobufs on GitHub because they in a way are proprietary.

Eh i dunno. I think the market for paid save editors on a 6 year old game isn't very large. I think more respect,praise,helpfullness would come out of a free one widely distrubuted with your name on it

I've got the same issue, I can load account.dat with checkpoint but I can't find the heroes that I've tuned up in the editor. I ì'vre tried to start a new character with the same account.dat, runs for lv.5 but, once I exit to the game, the new character disappear.
I also use mac os for transfer the saved file from the editor to Sd Card. Can you please help me to resolve this problem? Thanks
