Homebrew RetroArch Switch

Scalers rock. 
A few hours into FFT advance I get eyecancer turning them off. Still depends on the game though.
One last comparison shot for the books (still using the settings described in my previous posting here):

There is no best way. Read up on stuff. To give you the answer without you knowing the ramifications would mean, that you'd get increased ban risk.
Asking "whats best" is about the stupidest question in life, still. Right after every american child has learneddd to "be best" they flock to the web to ask more intelligent beings "whats best". Many people answer them, because it gives them an ego boost. To others its just bothersome.
If you need a searchword - tinfoil. But by jeeves, would it kill you to read up on stuff, before you put programs on your switch?
Millenials, only fit for a homebrew scene, where others tell them what to put on their consoles. Fresh from youtuber "buy this, its best" sponsored testimonial straight into a gbatemp thread - never having to have used your brain once. Wow. Its so easy dave! I can get me switch banned in two easy steps?
But how does this work with SXOS, because I went with piracy for 40 bucks, and now still dont know a thing and thought - what if I'd bother some folks... (Still hating on SXOS. 2018 style. Also, my millennial acting like a millennial impressions are getting spot on these days, if I may say so...)

I have been reading a lot thank you very much! Including all your post in this thread and other threads, and it seems to me that you like to assume and generalize a ton. For one your assumption that I must be a millennial is wrong. I worded my my question with the word best, cause I know the word "best" is subjective and I wanted a subjective answer first. I wanted all opinions, I didn't want to limit it to just tinfoil users or SXOS users.
I have read both about using tinfoil and SXOS. I also have installed the retroarch NSP, using both process.
I guess let me rephrase my question or what would have been a followup question... Am I installing it the wrong way? Is there a proper way to install an NSP? I don't care about bans, I just need to know if tinfoil and SXOS are the only way to install NSP for the common user right now.
Because when I install it using tinfoil or SXOS, about 50% of the time I get an error when trying to use the PCSX core. The core loads but when loading an ISO, retroarch crashes. The PCSX core works 100% when using the hbmenu, the crash/error only happens when when using the NSP.
I am okay with just using the hbmenu, but I'm just trying to get ready for the future release of the OC patch for N64 and PS1 core... Since the N64 needs the NSP.
Switch OS 4.1
Tried both on SXOS and latest hekate
64GB formatted FAT32
Cluster size 32kilobytes
The new homebrew menu with atmosphere allows the full use of ram soo the n64 nsp is not needed
Same lol, I got a different image and it’s now telling me I don’t have a boot disk but I have 2Wow I haven't seen an autoexec.bat/config.sys in a long time. DOS memory management was fucked
Just had the same problem XD. Try + and - (at the same time). Did it for me. You can change the setting in "Input" under Options

So is it possible to play something like 2-player Twisted Metal 2, with just two joy-cons? I've been able to do it fine with a Pro controller and Joy-con grip, but was wondering if you can do multiplayer retroarch games with just two joy-cons yet. My guess is yes, but you need to map the controls yourself? *shrug*

I have to post pictures from my camera directly from the screen, I think we don't really realize the rendering, because if the person looks at your screenshots in a resolution that is not yours, all the shaders will look fake, or scanline badly adjusted too, so here is the rendering of ff tactics on gba, with shader lcdX3 ,nearest filter don't care
I don't think it's possible to get better as an honest rendering, that's what looks like the most similar to the original gba screen, you see the dowries of the screen adapted to the game and their format, the pixels are right.
So I don't bother anyone with my gba shader rendering photos

Hmm funny ..I had problems with my games stuttering all the time with "threated video" enabled. Now I deleted retroarch on my sd card and reinstalled it.... now everything seems to work fine. I must say that my sd card is EXFAT formatted. I have a second one with FAT32 that seems to work better. I cant scan my rom folders on my exfat retroarch sd card for instance , but I have bought so many eshop games it would drive me crazy to switch sd cards all the time

Install the retoarch nsp that works for me in SX OS. The N64 core is still not full speed obviously.
I could never get the NSP to work for some reason. It always just crashed at launch. I have retroarch installed as homebrew on the SD card (fat32) working just fine but for some reason the nsp never worked on SX os.
Is there a reason the NSP has to be installed for N64 to work?

Dude I switch between 12 SD cards
It takes all of 20 seconds to switch between them. Small price to pay.What I did is install Retroarch from the homebrew store then installed the nsp. Once I had it all working I just deleted the nro from the switch folder.
I can't say intelligently if there is any logic to it but the N64 core was crashing the switch for me prior to doing this.
