You don't need to do 12v fanmods on Falcons.
Just add an intake fan, replace thermal compound on the CPU/GPU, cut away the back fan mesh of the case, crank the fans up to 65/70% in FSD and you'll be fine.

haha nice! this is exactly where i bolted mine, directly on the second heatsink of the GPU, the one floating

it fits great and you can bolt it directly to the heatsink since it got a space between each metal sheets.

Also, if you want a better heat flow, place a alluminum foil or thin cardboard piece, on the gpu's main heatsink, to cover the small gap between the heatsink and the fan's white plastic socket/case/cover.

and if you can, jtag/rgh it, and install freestyledash, you will be able to monitor the temps of the cpu,gpu,ram chips, and you will be able to see the temps directly from the start menu, so, you can see your temps at anytime even when playing games or watching movies

I'd say do something plastic or cardboard and gaffertape it to the airduct to extend it.
Aluminium foil is electrically conductive.

yeah but dont forget, the aluminum foil wont touch anything other then plastic anyway.

i have increased min to 65%, put a divider in my fan shroud to have one fan for the cpu and one for the gpu, then cardboard on the top of the heatsinks to get the full draw on them instead of the air coming in the top. right now i am running cpu 58C Gpu 70, mem 68, chassis 40 something. when i run a 80mm fan cranked at full speed externally (no holes cut) i can drop the temps to cpu 48, gpu 62, 58, chassis 30 something. i will still run this fan after the fan mod is done. I was thinking of installing a second extra fan and drilling larger holes on the right side of the chassis (laying horizontal) But I cannot find one that fits. maybe a 40x40x10? ( I would still like to get the wiring pinout for the main onbard fan so i can add a 5v or 6v fan to it and have that on the right side of the chassis.

i am not 100% sure of the pinout but you can find it if you look where every wires of the fan are, since, red and black wires will be power and the other will point the sensor..brown i think..i dont remember exactly..

As for your temps, are those when on idle or while playing? if on idle..i find it kinda high for the GPU to the point it will rrod after a while..you might wanna put some extras on your gpu..exemple: a fan directly for the heatsink of the gpu (not the fan on the back..the fan on the back breath-out..you would need to add a breath-in for the gpu..) and, wich model of heatsink do you have on your gpu? is it the old one with only 1 coil on it? or the one with an extra coil 'floating' beside it? if not, you can find one on ebay or amazon.

hmm...I can't say I liked fishing when I did it as a kid. I guess it's something you kinda get used to. I'm a pretty impatient person which was probably the problem.

You could temporarily replace them with some spare fans.
As long as you have a constant airflow over it, it shouldn't make to much of a difference.
Airflow is airflow.

i was attacked by you. and now manipulated by you trying to reverse what is going on by you saying i attacked you. why the abuse of power?I simply brought a valid point you are trying to start an issue where i have no control over DOA items that i received. Because people are chatting in the midst of the wait, you feel it is necessary to complain. why not enjoy the wait instead of making it more miserable??

well..to be honest its not really to you to decide..i mean, you posted your thread in 360 homebrews etc, so while you wait for your fan maybe it would be better if you talk about fishing in a sub-forum made for those discussion instead of derailling your thread, it will avoid having it getting burried under not related subjects .
