Hacking Can I go online with 11.7?

I'd like to downgrade my 2ds so I can use CFW and cias again safely. I saw some people claiming online still works on 11.7, is it true?

For most end users, there's no reason not to update to 11.8. Luma3DS v9.1 is fully compatible with 11.8.

As for online play, 11.8 will someday be required (if it isn't already).

the safest way is to install the CIA files thru FBI and stay away from installing games using apps like freeshop on your 3ds

You are no safer on 11.7 than you are on 11.8.

The security feature added only tracked games being installed through sleep mode. At the same time they haven't actually done anything with this and recent changes to the eShop already locked freeShop (and all applications like it) from downloading games from it. So basically the security addition that they added will be completely redundant.
It's worth noting that installing games via CIAs and FBI is a safe method of installing games to your system.

I've heard that installing games/updates/dlc through FBI is still safe.

AFAIK its the same thing as 11.7, so yes.

Yes, but only until they make 11.8 mandatory to play online.
