If you're really that worried, you could just have it serviced by someone other than Nintendo. If they have full access to the console (which they should), then they will know everything you did to it. What they do with that information is left to our imaginations.
Any recommendations of good sources for these types of 3rd party repairs? My switch needs a bit of internal repairs since I was being silly at one point

Haven't needed to service my Switch (knock on wood) so not sure about any personal recommendations. I used a local shop to repair my 3DS' L button and it came out great. Found them through Google and I read through the reviews to make sure they were legit. I'm sure you can find one in your area if you do the same.

WORRY NOT, usually nintendo just check all received switches if they are still in warranty then they will send a replacement back.

I had a similar issue with a 3DS, that was blatenetly CFW'd with Freeshop being the first thing you see... They just wiped it, and sent it back with the repaired screen, but this was 3DS as well... I don't know how they will react with Switch

so if they are (mine isnt) they will replace it?
you need to pay around 100.00 dollars or more depends on what kind of service( meaning you dont have warranty on yours)
if you are lucky enough they will fix yours, if not they will send a replacement console baby>

mine just has a small software bug. It would be completely unnecessary to replace it
so? only few nintendo centers will provide system reparations, and only few trusty employees have system access, whenever if they decided to NOT send u a replacement, u will still get a formatted switch that's for sure.

If they question it just say you dont know
(act dumb and say your friend borrowed it:tpi:). Chances are if they suspect anything it will get sent back to you. Hopefully everything will work out fine. I will cross my fingers and toes for you and hope for the best. I think years ago they required you to bag up any necessary accessories and write a list or something so nothing was forgotten at their repair center(That might have changed though).
