Hacking How can I create an NSP from an NCA/XCI?

None of the existing tools seem to do this that I can tell. I can extract the NCA from an XCI but all the tools seem to do is either convert NSP to LayeredFS or XCI/NCA to LayeredFS. I want to generate a new NSP for a game that I dumped that isn't available on CDN currently since keys haven't been dumped for it.

I intend to find out very soon. (I will dump my copy of skyrim into an xci, then I will repackage it as an nsp, and test.)

It will be a few hours before I can do that though. Gotta finish my shift at work, then go shopping for a suitable microSD.

I have good luck so far with the 128gb PNY cards at Walmart. They work a treat in my PSP's adapter. They are reasonably fast, and reasonably inexpensive for their size. AND I can just walk out of the store with it in my hands.

You pay for the convenience of not waiting 2 days for shipping. At least, that is how I look at it, and it works to keep my brain working right.

If this works (Installable/working NSP from XCI cart dump), I will look into arbitrarily inserting more files into this title. (EG, mods.)

Reading the thread it seems that tool does not work. The ncp files are unable to be read. Has anyone actually managed to get this to work? Otherwise is there any other tool that converts xci to nsp?

I experimented with this a couple of weeks ago with no success. My goal was to dump legally purchased games on my unhacked switch and build an NSP file that could be installed on my offline hacked switch. Hopefully something like that will come out eventually

Indeed. It did not create a proper NSP. Thats OK though. A proper converter is only a matter of time.
