Just accept that piracy and running an unmodified OS will get you banned.

I havent heard of anyone using actual real backups (i.e. their own carts and not some stolen rip) report a ban yet.

If it happens, it happens. Just trying to do anything possible to ensure it doesn't and as i don't game online the first thought was stay offline full stop. It's just trying to figure out how to update offline that's the current issue.

Then it must of been figured out after I left, if my info is wrong fair enough, let's be honest here things are moving so fast it's hard to keep up with it all.

That being said I'll have a look for the patch and test it later too, I don't need proof.

EDIT you did say you injected your own certs to update, but can this be done via nsp 100% offline yet?
Sorry bud I'm talking using SX OS back ups, not injecting nsp and installing using the dev menu but yes I agree everything is moving so fast its hard to keep up with what everyone is talking about. Don't use this method with nsp that's asking for a ban any game being installed via the dev menu is bad news I would wait for TX to come up with a better method, repacking nsp's is just not worth it! ;)

Is this thread regarding layeredfs & NSP repacks not related to sx back up loading? its very confusing what members are referring too.

Agreed 100% I'm now puzzled if we can load nsp (update/dlc) to xci games loaded via sxos or installed nsp via Dev menu. Great time to be in the scene though

Make a nand backup.
Use dev dev menu to install updates (nsp format).
Stay completely offline.
If you ever want to go back online, restore nand backup first.
This seems safer in my opinion, still can't say for sure that this will save you from getting banned, there's still a lot we don't know and probably never will.

for one that's how I've been doing it. play in CFW, log out completely, clear logs, log out completely, boot OFW, update, bam, banned.

but was you nsw ever conected to internet before the clear log? and did you connect while in osx?

you get flagged because the logs disappear, however if the logs were never sent (being completely offline) then it would appear as a brand new switch once u did go online. thats why i said theoretically.

So why would you ever go online? the second you go online you'd have to buy a new switch to be 'virgin' again.

Apologies if this has been asked, i have searched and can't find this being answered.

Are we at a stage yet where we can play 100% offline/Airplane mode on SX Pro/OS? I understand we can activate SX OS externally bypassing connecting but what about playing games and getting their updates through a PC?

I understand that to proceed, you have to understand you *could* be banned but for those who want to remain under the radar for as long as possible, we may never want to connect to the web. I was just wondering if people think we're there yet?
Just assume that you broke Nintendo TOS just by using Homebrew and you will get banned sooner or late

Likely it'll be by installing NSP update files

I would say we are very close to 100% offline I've managed to install game updates to xci releases.

People have done dlc too but you need title keys to install dlc, updates don't require a titlekey.

But all of this could change if Nintendo changes something.
