I have a 3G OLED model.
wondering if I should change the battery since its very old.

I personally never keep the same battery for more than a year. Some say it's overkill and some agree with me, but to me a battery is always cheaper than replacing the device
I say just get a new one. Chances are the battery is going to be rather old and worth replacing.

I feel bad for you if you have an iPhone.
Phones I actually do replace the whole damn thing. By the time the battery goes out on them, they aren't worth keeping around.
Console always have some worth to me, especially ones I can hack.

Alright so I was looking for some new batteries and found that all of them have a capacity of 2200 mAh, But my ps vita's battery is higher for some odd reason.....
I uploaded a picture on the thread.

Sorry for not replying sooner, I didn't get notified about this.
There should be a part number on the battery itself that you should be able to look up and find the right replacement battery for.
