Done it. Works great !! is there a way to install Retro Arch as a channel in Wii U ?
I have this trouble with retro arch for it to work and see all the cores i have to put them in /wiiu/retro otherwise retro arch menu is empty when i start it, but if i move the emulators to /wiiu/retro when i go HB App Store i cannot update the emulators since they are in different location that they wore installed and i see them as *not* installed

I think there is a forwarder channel.
look on wiiubru, channel section. It lists some full channels and some forwarder channels.

I thought there were more channels, it looks like there's no channel for retro arch listed here.
wouldn't it be possible to create a "generic-forwarder" like the wii had ?
it was reading a file on SD card containing the path to the dol to load.
it could even have more than one dol listed in the wiiuforwarder.txt file, and act like hbl2hbc with a menu.
you would have a channel, not necessarily one per homebrew. Not a nice logo matching your homebrew, but at least it would be a channel.
That's only if you don't use Haxchi which is already a generic forwarder, or don't have a second NDS game to use with haxchi.
having a independent homebrew forwarder not based on contenthax could be useful ? users wouldn't have to install 2 (CBHC+haxchi) NDS VC games.

if the quick start menu is a way to launch a channel to bypass loading the one set in system.xml, then no.
you can launch the "do not touch me" channel manually from that menu, but any other channel will prevent the patches to be applied.

As Cyan already stated Haxchi already is a great forwarder. You wouldn't even have to buy a DS VC game if you launch a CFW through Internet Browser -> HBL but I recommend buying at least one of the Haxchi compatible games to have either a Haxchi that quickly applies signature patches or even CBHC that does that.
When you're done you can create multiple Haxchi forwarders for like everything. Just use the legit Haxchi (or Internet Browser) first to apply signature patches after every Wii U boot.
Then grab the RetroArch launcher from here and follow this guide to make a forwarder for it:

maybe if the quick start menu can be call anytime, CBHC could patch the kernel and call that menu right away instead of loading sysmenu from syshax.xml
something like - boot > system.xml > cbhc > quick menu
or maybe the quick menu is part of the gamepad firmware? that might still be possible to invoc that menu.

Hi All.
Just installed latest CBHC v1.6 on Haxchi v2.5u2 with Mocha v0.2
Autoboot to Mocha CFW and Games on USB with SysNAND.
I have just runned a GBA game Zelda Minish Cap and runs fine but when exiting with Home button it runs Autoboot and the WiiU Menu stays forever.
So it Hangs system everytime and must press Power button to force shutdown console.
Im not sure if this is a Bug or some wrong setting but I will go back and uninstall CBHC.
Does anyone have come across with the same problem?.
