Now, honest question, why would you use mocha for sysnand in CBHC at all? it takes twice the time to boot up and besides adding wupserver which is only useful as developer it does not add in anything extra, really its only useful for rednand if you already install CBHC...
What is the alternative to mocha? Which .elf file do you use for a coldboot and does it boot faster than mocha?
I would prefer a simple boot into the system menu with sig patches. I dont need wupserver and the developer stuff. ^.^
But where do we get such an .elf file from?

I believe that you would just choose autoboot to system menu in this case, sig patches would be applied and your pirated dlc etc would work

On a separate note....
I'd like a version of this that says Doogie Howser stole my mom!!!
:)

I did not try cbhc, yet. So, is there an option, that I can choose either to autoboot an .elf file or to autoboot to system menu with sigpatches?
I am a bit confused about this. I have to choose an .elf file in the config of haxchi, so where can I choose to autoboot into system menu with sigpatches instead of booting an .elf file?

And .... ehem .... pirated dlc??!! These are not my intentions, of course. :-P O:-)

The autoboot options are in the cbhc menu that appears when you first run it. There is no config file with cbhc as far as I know.

Not to be that guy (also sorry in advance if it has been answered already thru out the 23 pages) but what would happen if say I moved my new haxchi (CBHC) channel around? What would happen if I didn't disable standby? What would happen if I need to format my wii u because I want to sell it?

Basically what I'm getting at what are the consequence of doing what you are told not to do. Will your system brick and no way to bring it back even if you backed up its NAND using the redNAND method?

If you are told not to do something by the creator of an app then it's usually best practise to not do it. Doesn't really matter why, just don't do it. If some other muppet wants to try it out and risk bricking then let them, that's my philosophy on it all :)

And as for using a nand backup to restore a brick, I think it only possible thru a hardware mod. It might be possible eventually if we get something similar to bootmii....

Ah ok. I thought, we are supposed to install haxchi first and later install cbhc over haxchi.
So, I was wrong, and we do not need to install haxchi, if we want to install cbhc?

I was wondering that there is no config file in cbhc. I thought, cbhc would use the config file of haxchi.

Nothing. FIX94 meant you shouldn't move it to your USB Storage Deivce. Simply changing its position on the HOME Menu or even putting it in a folder causes no change in its titleID, on which coldboot(hax) relies.

I'm aware of this. I'm just really interested in the whole cause and effect of things.

Obviously I wouldn't try any of the things he says not to but if after I do what he says and I want to say trade in my wii u for a switch will I be able to format it or am I doomed to have this CBHC channel just sitting there all ominous looking? Xd

Ty! Knowing little details like this one makes a world of difference when something as ambiguous as "don't move it" could mean just leave it where your old haxchi channel is and that's it you're done

i was going to autoboot mocha but that's all im using this for in the end.

so basically - set up haxchi, set up cbhc and done?

I wish to add to the previous question:

If I only need to have full sign patch on sysnand (without using the full-features mocha), I can remove the SD Card from wiiu after CHBC install?

Obviously If I need to use wup installer, I need to put a SD with install files, start Homebrew Launcher Channel and then WUP Installer

Why do I get a -5 when launching Mocha in CBHC menu?

-5 is missing files
