I see they just copy-pasted the infant-friendly translation from the DS game, because while murders and corpses and wading through blood in every other scene is fine, GOD FORBID a character drink wine. :rolleyes:

That's not censure, in an interview, one of the devs said that grape juice was his favorite drink. It's more like a joke

I think changing things like this around in a port would probably just cause more confusion.

I don't think the Android port will be Japan-only, considering official English accounts for Capcom are posting about it.

Hm, an odd choice to be sure.
That Yahtzee fellow did call Capcom a "Porting Enthusiast" of some variety recently. Perhaps they just can't wait to shift 3DS titles to mobile as soon as possible, thus the introduction to this continuity.

It's grape juice in the original japanese version too. It's an established running gag (just like the ladder/stepladder joke) and also Shu Takumi's favourite drink.

After mobile ports of the original Ace Attorney Trilogy, and 2013's 5th entry into the series, Dual Destinies, there had always been an awkward absence of the series' fourth game. But now, Capcom has finally filled the gap by announcing that Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney would be getting an HD remaster for mobile platforms. I'm looking forward to playing this. Never got the chance to play Apollo Justice, but have always been planning to, so I guess I will hold out for the iOS release. Also, I hope that this port fixes the one issue that bothered me during the original hd trilogy: The freeze that seems to happen for a few seconds after the judge slams his gavel.

Smartphones are the perfect platform for these games (in my opinion)...
Casually playing PW mobile port I bought a month ago, it appears to be a super convenient game to play in a train/subway : you don't need to be "that" focused and yet furiously tap on your screen when the cornered song start...
