There is no news on any >=3.57 ePSP kernel exploits being worked on, or pending a release. You'll still need to grab a <=3.55 Vita or a regular PSP for the moment, if you want to play PSP backups. and homebrew. I just remembered VHBL is available on 3.60 for PSP homebrew!
Additionally, it may be some time before something like that happens on 3.57 or above, as most (if not all?) well-known developers are focusing more towards native Vita homebrew development during this time period.

And while you can access PSN now, you should download a free/demo psp game, you'll need it later on

Currently on 3.50 with ape escape exploit
You need a PSP demo to get VHBL working on your Vita. I think this demo is one of the smallest demos that work with VHBL.
There's not much more to say...an epsp kerne exploit would need psp software to run it...so they are saying that while you can still get psn access through henkaku with spoofing, get software now while it's easily available. Same for psp backups..get a game and have it and the psp title ready so that you have it if an exploit is released. In the mean time use vhbl.
1) TN-V itself is not an exploit.
2) He stopped developing it more than a year ago...
3) He is most likely gone for good, he is not going to comeback and reply just because some random dude (you) wants info on something he left behind long ago.
