CHD is not the future and was it never, because it dont work on any original console, only some emulators.
We just have a different point of view on some things, it happens. At a point, emulation as always been better than the original.
just look at atari 2600 or Genesis roms, at our point, we have plenty of options in emulators that we didn't have at those days with same game and sometime improvement made. Of course, in the future, PS1 emulation will be even better, might ever be better way to read CHD or might just another format. Maybe a direct way to read Eboot, who knows....
Anyways, I love the tricks of you and all the community on Vitaa and other consoles!
Maybe a specialist could reply why Eboot is smaller than any other format but less "readable" or not read by emulators?

HI all!

I just bought today a PSTV to have some PSVITA games on it and try emus and PSVITA and homebrews!

I was asking myself question:

1 Is there a way to put a SD2VITA on the console? I have a cache on the right of the pstv console, but it doesn't seems to removable, can someone assure if that is normal or not? I don't want to break it that's why.

2 What is the best scrypt to improve compatibilty of PSVITA games on PSTV?

3 ITs there those emulators on PSP/PSVITA: An good amstrad emulator, X68000 or PC-98 emulator?

4 can someone give me the best useful plugins on PSTV? How do you download compatible games with PSTV?

Thanks in advance for anyone able to respond to this questions!

1. Use the game cartridge slot if you want to use a SD2Vita.

2. You can use DolcePolce, I believe it is more updated than whitelist 1.1

3. Don't see no x68000 or PC-98 emulator.

4. Some useful plugins would be like storagemgr, nonpdrm, 0syscall6. As for downloading games you can use pkgj.

1 answer has been give but thx
2 "You can use DolcePolce, I believe it is more updated than whitelist 1.1"....Haaa this is indeed a good info!
3 Can't find some ;( Except on Android Retroarch ;/
4 Good Info from you, do you confirm that putting too much plugins is bad because makes PSTV slow?

5 nobody to respond to the question: Where shall the system of PSTV be? On the internal memory, on PSvita 8GB card or on PS2vita ssd external? (I wont't say the size, it doesn't matter) Where shall games be put? On which are there the fastest for reading?
Post automatically merged:

Stupid question: is it better to use both DolcePolce AND whitelist 1.1? or just Dolcepolce is enought? if 2 isbetter, is it better to use one then the other?
Oh and Hayato213 if you believe that 2GB sd still doesn't exist in 2023, do you think they will exist in 2040?? when will they exist? Who will have it first, the Chinese, Japanese or American? ^^
Do you believe in usb keys that goes up to around 3800 Mbp in writing? ^^
(I even myself, believe in a PSTV bought 30Euros at a flea market and my Jewish friend thinks we are in 5784...What I mean, everybody has their belief ^^).

Use the SD2Vita as ux0, if you use internal storage it is only 1GB and for Sony Memory card max size is 64GB. You can use a HDD as mounting point for ux0 but it ain't perfect for me when I had a PSTV, the port is usb 2.0 so it can only really supply limited amp to power the drive, I did ran into the case sometime it won't load the drive and when I reload all the icon would get re-organized.

There is a 1.5 TB micro SD Sandisk on the market, if you want more than 1TB micro SD for the SD2Vita. Just use DolcePolce, as whitelist 1.1 is outdated.

Using a lot of plugins would cause some problem and some slowdown, so I would only stick with what you need, for example if you use yamt or storagemgr it need to be ahead of other plugins or it would cause bootloop problem, don't use autoplugins though it is known to cause problem as autoplugin doesn't know how to properly config the config.txt.

Isn't internal storage faster than SD2VITA or Sony Memory card? (just trying to guess) Should'nt be the best config the OS in the internal memory on the PSTV and games on the PS2VITA sd? (faisable to do it like that or you have to have all on one peripheral? Asking because I didn't try to mess with configuration yet.....), using the config.txt or some other files seems specific do the Vita.

Well there isn't much you can do with 1GB storage, so just run everything off ux0 mounting point, either a SD2VITA or a HDD.

This doesn't respond to the question at all!!! :rofl2:
Let me explain: When I connect a controller to a device , it can connect, but I recreate a junction to another device, it is only usable on the latest device connected to....Is that a problem for all controllers or can one bypass this?
