I was wondering if a better way to manage the extra buttons that some games use (Yume Nikki, etc.) would be the layout from Exult on PSP. You would hit start and an input menu would show up with a bunch of buttons that you select with the analog stick and arrow keys. If that's too much, maybe a button that opens a tranparent row showing all of the number keys that these games need across the top of the screen? I guess that this really does depend on how many extra keys RPG Maker games need, because as far as I know it's mostly the number keys being used as the extra keys. If someone else can clarify the extra key situation more that would be great!

I am trying to play Moby Housekeeper (https://rpgmaker.net/games/23/ ). When I do, I get missing sounds. Selecting New Game/Load Game/Quit Game should produce sounds but I get only a faint click. The next screen which says Everyone E should have a laugh sound but also produces only a faint click. The music still works.

2003 rtp files are in ux0:/data/easyrpg-player/rtp/2003/RTP/Backdrop, Battle, etc. I don't know if the sounds it is trying to play are from the RTP or not.

Also, the times llisted in the log file are several hours off from the actual time of day when the game was run.

The log file neither lists any sounds nor says anything has failed.

you should try to transferring 2003 rtp files(backdrop, battle, etc) to 'moby house keeper' rpt folder.

and you will listen to click sound, but next you get the C2-12828-1 error......

Have you tried Mastaks build? I the same problems with Vampires Dawn (plus the music being too fast) and that build fixed it for me.
Also the RTP folder should be ux0:/data/easyrpg-player/rtp/2003/Backdrop, Battle, etc.

I know this is a fringe case, but I've been playing Jump! Platinum (which works great btw) and it's pretty difficult to hit the up/downs and left/rights using the dpad, would it be possible for an alternate scheme where the face buttons are also arrow keys and the right stick is enter/escape?

Can anyone recommend some RPGM 2000/3 games? So far I've got Yume Nikki, .flow, Yume 2kki, SMRPG: The Seven Sages, and OFF. Will report performance for these on the latest build shortly (if these files ever finish transferring).

Thank you very much. :) Time to play some Vampires Dawn. *yay*

E:// Reporting some issues with Vampires Dawn. The game runs smoothly at the start, with 55~60 fps. But after a certain time, the game just keeps jumping from 60fps to 2~6fps. And if it starts to rain ingame, the game is almost unplayable.
- Hope it's okay to post that stuff here.

The issue seems to be caused by the loading of certain assets.
The rain sound is in an infinite loop, so every time it restarts (about every 2 seconds) the game hangs. Another sound that causes this is the cursor moving sound in menus.
In VD2, the images used for the intro credits have the same effect.
When too many affected assets are loaded at the same time, the whole program even crashes.

The stuttering with sounds should be a bit better managed now with this commit: https://github.com/EasyRPG/Player/commit/91114172e31d48b22536a4725a49a82dcfa388fd

I can't seem to transfer any of the Nikki games due to FTP errors. I imagine it's due to Unicode issues with Japanese characters, but I don't know how to go about fixing it. I'm using the Win10 file explorer since that's the only program that agrees with molecular/vitashell's FTP server for me. All others can't pick up the initial server message, give me I/O errors, or don't like folder uploads.

Also, first impressions on my other games seem decent though spotty. OFF runs well enough performance-wise though I think easyRPG is screwing up the battle tutorial, as I select attack against The Judge but he continues reprimanding me for apparently screwing it up. SMRPG:TSS seems to have some tiling issues, most noticeably where you can jump on a green switch behind a rock in Mushroom Pass 1 and get stuck in the rock.

Try to zip the folder, give the zip file a ascii conform name and transfer the zip. VitaShell can be used for unziping.
