No, it's an update. The update servers or the bot just haven't reported it. My friend updated and he's got a new firmware alright.
Besides, we don't even know if the update patches anything. I think you're all right about not updating and getting hyped.
Going nuts is our entire intention, noticed that in the two days of this thread being open there where no new questions regarding whether or not there was an update, which firmware was safe or how to fumblejumble your gamepad without people watching? This "Hey guys be carefull" thread is probably the best thing on the frontpage in ages, and we keep it there. As soon as you could say we are in the clear or the update comes, Rean will update the OP and we ask for a lock and all will be dandy

It is bashing when you claim I don't do anything productive and that all I do is shitpost and flame. (Seriously, I'm required to do something productive to be a member of this forum? I wager that 99% of users aren't "productive" so don't just single me out!)
PSA: I'm right that there isn't an update releasing. If there was, the Nintendo news sites would've picked it up, and Nintendo's system update page would've been updated to reflect the latest firmware.
