Hi.

I Installed BrowserHax on O3DS, 9.8. And everything worked fine.
Then i tried to downgrade to 9.2, and thats when the problem started.
At first it was stuck on "updates installed. rebooting in 10 seconds"

Now i can only get in to Recovery Mode, and when I try to update i get this message:

"An error has occurred.
Unable to update.

The system will
now turn off".

I can also start Zelda Majoras Mask by holding down a+b+y+x+R at startup.
But this wont work with Zelda A Link Between World or Mario & Luigi - Paper Jam Bros.

Sorry for my english.

You really need to be able to do the update in recover mode.

make sure you are on a network that connects to nintendo properly.

Also if you were set on tubehax DNS or have any DNS blocked in your router it won't work

Make sure you have tried booting your 3ds with the SD card removed. If it boots you can fix the SD card to get going again.

Do you have Cubic Ninja or Zelda OOT?

If that was the case, you can get to the network settings by trying to update without any configured network/Zone in range!
(Put your console in the microwave, click yes and close the door. Without starting the oven of course :D)

Of course that will get you on 10.5...

I can connect to Nintendo from my Wii U and my New 3DS XL.
I didn´t use tubehax.
I have tried to boot with and without the SD card - Nothing seems to help. :(

No, I don´t.

Would that help? I´m actually thinking of buying Zelda OOT :)

With that you could get back into homebrew, to do a factory reset with TinyFormat and/or try downgrading (installing cias) again!

Ocarina alone isn't useful though, you also need an external programmer (Powersaves or Save Dongle) or another console that can run homebrew!

How will that help if you can't access sysnand?

Likely!

You probably didn't know that because it only works if booting normally wouldn't result in launching Home (and I don't mean bricked lol, I mean booting the initial setup or maybe system transfer) :)

Can I try "downgrading" again without formatting if I use that to boot into OOTHax? Or does the failed downgrade mess up the kernal exploit?

I would think a partial downgrade will have equal or better chances of trying again, but you never know with some homebrews looking at the version of a single installed cia and assuming your entire system is so...

It certainly won't help with "successful" downgrades that only boot to the error text!

Ok, well I guess I'll use it as a last ditch effort then. Thanks for the info!

So i bought Zelda and Power Saves.
When i tried to launch homebrew on my 3DS craches after this:

The homemenu ropbin is ready

What am i doing wrong this time :)

Try using the 9.2 payload and if that fails, the 9.8 payload. One of those should work.

Did you see what and tried @ hug0 - a7x said?

you trying without power on 3ds sd card

On my third 3ds downgrade i thought i " soft- bricked " but then i turn on without the sd and it works.
You should try this first, if already not tried.
