Since I stopped tweaking my older themes I thought I'd sling some (well, 6) together in one rar file for anyone who might enjoy them. All sound effects are from their respective games and most of the bootsounds act as short introductions to the main looping theme. I ended up making several quite meticulous sound collages for these bootsounds but elected to use snappier versions for the ones in this collection - so you wont be waiting too long for the main wallpapers / icon selection screens to display.

The games were blessed with box / manual art I've been fascinated with since childhood, and combining reframings / imaginings of them with original sfx & music has been a pleasure to do.

The Themes are:

- Castlevania Bloodlines / Vampire Killer
- Contra: The Hard Corps
- E-Swat: City Under Seige
- Rolling Thunder 2
- Slap Fight MD
- Super Shinobi

Theme creators! @mashers newest update beta 129 let's you add icon overlay images for themes! Here's a pic of my first test. (Not looking to good but I'll work on it :rofl2:

holy shit, these themes look really retroish and so nice !

guys, i can see lots of your screens it shows the bottom part as if you are in the emuNAND where your cias are installed.

do they really appear?? O_O i am downloading the gridHB thingie.. i am new to this cfw , looks much more fun than using my GW card nand only XD

If you enter emunand first and then open the homebrew launcher, you can select the titles menu on the bottom left corner of your bottom screen. Then you'll see all your installed titles and run them from the homebrew launcher. It also works without cfw. It's a great feature.

i think you are into this cfw long time ago ! i only recently am booting with RxTools!

i want to ask you something buddy, i have put the boot.3dsx from the folder called 'launcher' for the grid version of Homebrew. into the root of my SD.

i also have the Ntr and the normal Homebrew boot in the root of my SD card, they dont matter right? like i have now renamed them to.

e.g boot_ntr.3dsx<<<< and my last question is, whichever file that is named boot.3dsx will be the one that runs yes by 'runs' i mean that it will be the one that will boot yep!? thanks in advance !

You can download the grid launcher from here

Extract the files to the root of your sd card and replace if necessary.
Any boot.3dsx in the root of the sd card is the default one that will boot as soon as you enter the homebrew launcher's hax. You can have a boot manager if you want more options but it's not necessary. I didn't knew about ntr in 3dsx firm. I've only seen the boot ntr .cia.

Can someone help me with the audio in my theme? It makes a weird noise after any of the audio tracks end! Please help! Its REALLY ANNOYING! Here's a link to the theme: https://gbatemp.net/threads/mashers...tom-themes-thread.399333/page-28#post-5828554

The problem was that your sound files had metadata. Once I cleared up all the metadata with audacity the weird noise is gone. I just added a warning about metadata to the first post's Add music and sounds to your custom theme section.

Oh my gosh THANK YOU! I'll add it to the link online! By the way, if you can, tell the creator of the Undertale Theme that he has the same problem! Thanks a lot

Oh crap! The theme doesn't work for me! Whenever I try to load a different app, it won't load up, it always just freezes. I'm using themehax 2.5 and I'm on a Old 3DS

You are right. That's really weird since I just erased the metadata of the files

I'll see if I can find the problem.

Ok the problem was with movesound.bin I tried redownloading it from your theme's link but your original one doesn't seem to have sound on it. Was it just a place holder? If it had sound could you share your working movesound.bin?

You're welcome! just delete the movesound.bin placeholder and it will work.

After lot of hard work my new theme finished!

Yoshi's Christmas Island

(more at the end of this post)

A few days left 'til christmas and what's better than celebrating it with our lovely Yoshi? I've edited every icon possible - expect for the folders ones. Also, thanks to the overlay images, you have a snow effect on your app icons!

What it also included:
- Boot screen, sound (thanks to JJTapia19 for allowing me to use it, check out his awesome themes!)
- Reboot screen
- Background music (Athletic theme)
- All sound effects (made by JJTapia19, thanks again)
- Top screen image for the information page
- Progress wheel (thanks to JJTapia19!)
