Hacking ReiNand CFW vs CakesFW (for N3DS)

People used to use separate emunands for gateway and the 4.5 cfw or so i've read here, so probably.

I guess that's highly unlikely now, correct? Official Ninjhax 2.x support would be nice, though. In Decrypt9, I'm using my modified BrahmaLoader (forked from delebiles Brahma 2) with an (almost, I still need to test) 100% success rate. It also still works on Ninjhax 1.1 without any trouble at all. Personally I would also like an official way of disabling the splash screen & some possibility to skip loading these updated firmware files (so that older exploits still work on EmuNAND). Great work, anyways! I have now tested ReiNAND vs CakeCFW and I think I'll be using ReiNAND for now.

Yup, it is possible (1 GW EmuNAND + X RedNANDs), but it is quite hacky, and none of the official CFWs support it now. I'd rather suggest you use a second SD card for experiments.

Reinand is pretty much perfect as it is anyway. I just hope that we eventually do see a way to update past 9.5 emuNAND.

any way to get Firmlaunch to work on SYSNAND on REInand?

i love Reinand, its stable, and just run that multipatcher to spoof store access.
But i now have RXtools installed, last time i checked you cant directly boot into reinand from themehax, it freezes.
also rxtools is the only way i can decrypt games easily without switching out my mset.

in short if you dont need all that decrypting tools and such then Reinand is the way to go.

understandable, i wasn't saying any facts, just my own experiences. my n3ds "at the time" couldn't boot directly into reinand. i haven't tried again recently

I was considering adding dual emunand as an original feature, and the emunand parser is flexible enough for that, so wouldnt be too hard to implement. It looks for the nand partition from multiple known locations (GW, rednand, etc) so just make a feature that forces one.

Nah, but originally i thought it'd be convenient for those who want 2 different firmwares to test stuff on, but didnt want to have 2 SD cards for it.
