@SLiV3R I've had no issues playing Metal Slug 2, Puzzle Bobble or Nightmare in the Dark (haven't tried any of the other games you listed). Maybe a ROM version issue? Are you able to check if the same ROMs run on the equivalent desktop Final Burn Alpha build? Version 0.2.97.30 can still be found if you hit the "Show Previous Versions" button.

Ok. Thanx, Ill try some other roms to see if they work...

Okay, and mGBA is best for n3ds as of right now right?
Not necessarily. gpSP is better on any device that has kernel access i.e. can install .cia files.

I'm sure this has been noticed already, but if somebody could fix the generic naming of the FBA CPS2 .cia file it would be great!

I can't seem to get gpSP or mGBA working. The SNES emulator works fine but, when I try to load a GBA game on those emulators, the bottom screen says that it could not load the BIOS file and failed to load content. I've put the BIOS file in the ROM directory but it doesn't work.

The file seems to be ok because I tried it with the GBA emulator in the Tubehax starter pack and Advance Wars loaded but ran slowly. Does anyone know where the GBA BIOS should go for RetroArch?

QuickNES isnt saving. It saves FF2 no problem but not with Earthbound Beginnings or FF3. Any reason why?

I believe it needs to go in retroarch/cores/system named as gba_bios.bin

mGBA actually doesn't require the BIOS. The official one for 3DS loads without the BIOS. Not sure about the Retroarch Version though. Try using the official nightly for 3DS

Here's a .smdh for Neo Geo. Hope everyone likes it. :nds:

I fixed the space missing between LibRetro Team that is present in the screenshot.
Fixed the screenshot too.

So finally took some time to look into that 2048_liberto and nxengine_liberto emu any help on what to get from files (don't need to know where)
i know nxengine emulates 1 game Cave Story? but any help on what files i need and where to place would be awesome.

You can find the files on cavestory.org in the Downloads section. Basically the only files you'll need from the zip file are Dokutsu.exe and the /data folder. Put those into a folder of their own on your SD card (highly recommended). When you start up NXEngine, load Dokutsu.exe and then enjoy free Cave Story on your 3DS :)

That did it. Thank you :D

Thank you for the reply. I managed to get gpSP working but I'll keep this in mind in case it stops working.
The RetroArch mGBA doesn't need a bios either.
Sorry, that error was for gpSP. I just tried mGBA and it says that it did not find a valid content patch.

omg that previous update! being able to play bigger roms was just what i needed.
i also noticed that retroarch is for like wii and other consoles, anyone knows how well these work on like wii for an example? (im sorry if im going off topic)
They work great on the Wii.

2048 is a contentless core, it doesn't load any files. However, the way RetroArch is structured, I believe the core itself is supposed to receive this information through the passing of an argument. Since core loading isn't actually working currently on 3DS, the 2048 core is never told that it doesn't need to load any files. I might be terribly mistaken, but I'm pretty sure the 2048 core is essentially useless in its present state.

I've been doing some tests with catsfc the last couple of days. I imported a save file from Super Mario RPG and put it into the emulator, and decided to try to run it in both Snes9x and catsfc. catsfc will boot Mario RPG at 100%, but when loading a savefile, it hangs. This will also happen if you boot up a new save file, but will hang after the opening cutscene. Snes9x will allow Mario RPG to boot and be playable, but it runs at around 34 fps on n3ds.
Is this just an error involving catsfc all together, or is this a very specific error with the 3ds variant?

It's a CatSFC error.

It's a CatSFC error.
That's a shame. Hopefully Mario RPG emulation will be possible and perfected in the future.
Also, on another note, Kirby Super Star's Title will load extremely poorly on catsfc, at around 0-1 fps on n3ds. However, the Snes9x port runs it around 20-30 fps. Is this a CatSFC error as well?
