Just stay off random, r/spacedicks and maybe r/wtf and you'll be fine. Reddit has some really great communities, r/gamedev, r/showerthoughs and of course r/trees, hehe. And for example r/starbound is one of the reasons why the game had such a rocket start.
To stay a bit on topic, is it possible to do system transfer from emunand to emunand? I'll have to transfer my NNID once update releases and I'll be finally able to actually use my N3DSXL.

Need some help just got this Nintendo 3ds xl for christmas

and I would love to get a new gateway for it but I have been out of the loop for soo long

does the new gateway support this version of the 3ds?

also i Plan on ordering it from http://www.3dsgamerworld.com/gateway-3ds-card-for-3ds3ds-xl-p-9.html cause I live in the us is that a good idea?

without telling us the firmware version it's kinda hard to know

Go to gateway-3ds.com and click resellers to find legit resellers.

When you buy the 3ds make sure it's fw is lower than 9.2.0.21U anything lower will work. I'm assuming that one will come on 8.1 but not exactly sure.

so basically gateway works on the newer 3ds now? I remember in the past it only worked on 4.1?

It will work, as long as it's lower than 9.2. I don't think there has been a 3ds with higher than that anyways so chill

It used to only work on 4.0-4.5

it works on 4.1-4.5 3DS. and with the upcoming update from GW it will work on the others until 9.2

You can check it by system settings. Yeh in the past and now it is 4.5.

Or are you getting it as a Christmas present? It will be probably be lower then 9.2.
Like 7.x I think.
