Now that just ticks me off no Vita they can have it not going to by another home system to play most if not all I have already in the portable version
I say Doom Train team rocks it they allow me to go anywhere and play this now or almost any place

Maybe they just want to wait for Skybladecloud and his team to complete the patch and then (understanding that on psp, psvita they would have sold a lot less copy of the game) create the game for PS4 and XBOX in order to maximize the profit (and maybe even saving on the cost of the translation, think if SE to localize the game try to use the work of Sky and his team...

)

Type-0 is the PSP/consoles version, Agito is the Android/iOS version.

More accurately, they originally announced Final Fantasy Agito XIII as a mobile title, but there were issues with mobile hardware parity at the time in Japan, so they shifted development to the PSP and it eventually became Final Fantasy Type-0.

Now that smart phones and tablets have become widespread and hardware has improved, they're revisiting their original ideas for the mobile game the originally set out to make, now informed by the game that Final Fantasy Type-0 became.

I suggest reading this interview with Tabata from TGS 2013. He talks very frankly about the game's development history and the barriers to its localization.

I have unlocked the summer uniforms, at which point can I wear them... I'm on the part where you've used the horse (Odin) summon for the first time, and defeated that mecha ..

And how to equip them?

I dunno about you guys, but this is a REALLY dick move on squares part. Your translation team did a great job & now all of a sudden they just POOF and are releasing it too? Like, even moreso how many years are we gonna wait now? It's already been 8 since it was first teased & we know with their history of ff15 which took long enough :lllll
I'm just terrified if this is an english release with english voices that they're gonna ruin it orz

First, I don't think SE can use doomtrain's translation, unless they pay them for it.

Second, it's PS4.

Third, I think this is more of a coincidence in timing. Because E3 is going on right now, which is the prime time to make new announcements. I have no doubt that the translation effort and excitement helped push them to do this, but the TIMING is just a cosmic joke.

I'm confused as to how this is a dick move. A dick move would be if Square somehow managed to arrest everyone involved in doomtrain. Or what they did to the Chrono Trigger fan-remakes and sequels.

But this is just updating a game and making it more available, in (a very late) response to fan demand.
