Hacking Final Burn Alpha PSP - will not load CPS-3 roms

hey gbatemp.
im using a PSP-2000 CFW 6.39 PRO-B10.
i just started playing around with final burn alpha.
it loads my CPS-1/2 roms no problem.
but my CPS-3 collection just shows up in the game list but refuse to load.
any suggestions?
my CHD files are in the ROMs folder.
which is a requirement for other CPS-3 emulators.
i fail at MAME like hard.
so any help would be much appreciated.

i just grabbed the file off their sourceforge page and the included documentation does not say what mame set they support. it is highly possible your cps3 roms are simply from the wrong set. without more information i'm not exactly sure what to suggest. perhaps its time i got to toying with this emu.
