lets see.

i liked inazuma eleven 2, even though i wouldnt play through the story a second time
castlevania dawn of sorrow is among the best games, one of the few i can still play over and over
megaman zx 2 was very nice, with all the transformations, instead of just getting a new weapon all the time
yu gi oh - over the nexus, again, not a game to be played for the story, but the number of cards and decks was wonderful
and then theres disgaea, which is always entertaining due to all the classes you can potentially use, but usually never do, cause some are just so much better than other

Chrono Trigger and Tales of Innocence come pretty close, but if you're talking about the five first, it would be these ones for me.

It's a tough one, there are so many good ones.
I can't list them in any specific order, but some of my favorites are the Ace Attorney series, Pokemon series, Elite Beat Agents/Ouendan, Golden Sun: Dark Dawn and the FF4 remake. Out of these I would rank Ace Attorney, Pokemon or Golden Sun the highest.

In no particular order:
1. Picross 3D
2. Ace Attorney Series
3. Time Hollow
4. Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors
5. Rhythm Heaven

I can't put them in order but if I was forced, I think 999 would take the first spot with Time Hollow taking the second.

Not counting or repeating series here, just individual games. Also, not including ports or Chrono Trigger would definitely be my favorite game on the DS.

Makes My Top 30 Games of All Time:
1. Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations (+ all other AA games) - Extremely deep story and character development, and sharp exposition.
2. Professor Layton and the Unwound Future (+ all the Layton games) - Very well made story, interesting yet difficult puzzles, and gorgeous art style.
3. Elite Beat Agents - Wacky, zany, hilarious, addictive, and very retro yet accessible song choices.

The Rest:
4. Pokemon Black and White 2 (+ all other Pokemon games) - The deepest and most developed Pokemon game thus far in the entire series.
5. The World Ends With You - Brilliant story, cool art style, well made urban environment and interesting gameplay concepts.

And the Rest of My Top 10:
6. Ghost Trick - Great story and incredibly fun and unique gameplay.
7. Radiant Historia - Perhaps the best non-Pokemon turn based RPG on the DS, and one of it's later gems.
8. Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars - The most intuitive version of this game available is just as good as the bigger GTA titles.
9. Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor (+ SMT: DS 2) - Deep and rich gameplay with a dark yet fascinating storyline.
10. Advance Wars: Dual Strike & Final Fantasy XII: Revnant Wings - Both have immersive SRPG gameplay and storylines that tie in well with their predecessors

Runner Up That Must Be Mentioned:
11. Bangai-O Spirits - I have sunk in so much time into this game in taxis and long trips that I can't not mention how awesome it is.

Thus far I actually like the Y's reboot. Altered or not, it grows on ya. Though the land scape was made to be a bit too huge me thinks.

Dragon Quest IV

All three Castlevanias

I agree with these top 3. Haven't tried out the other two.

Well, these 2 are mostly Visual Novels, pretty underrated too. Have you heard about Hotel Dusk? Last Cape is the sequel of it, you solve a mystery and puzzles along the way. While Time Hollow is...umm if you like reading i really recommend this one.

Not much into DS, but these games has kept my interest:

1) Virtual Villagers
2) Might N Magic (Series never gets old)
3) Animal Crossing
4) GTA
5) Any Pokémon game (boring but good time killer)

Not into Mario (my kids are).
