Are there any cables better than the standard AV Cable for the first Playstation ?

An RGB scart cable will give a noticeably better picture than a composite cable.

Nope, PS2 onwards but would still fit the port.
RGB SCART -> S-Video -> composite/composite to SCART converter -> RF

RGB is the best you'll get, it's been supported by PS1 & PS2 globally since 1994. Even American units where few people care.

didn't know the american ps1 supported rgb even i didn't know the ps2 also supported rgb

rgb is so little used they don't usually bother mentioning in our manuals.

RBG Scart is supported, so our PAL friends get the best picture. We NTSC folks need to use a RGB Scart to YUV Component converter.
