It seems they actually have proper English voice acting to do the other characters (judging by the hilarious stereotypical-Jewish-mother accent the fat purple dog has :E)Schizoanalysis said:

Likewise, I understand both katakana and hiragana pretty "fluently" (I can read it with no trouble at all, and I'm so used to Japanese language software), so I think this'll still help my language comprehension regardless; just keep the Japanese subtitles on and I can do it that way, right?
can't wait to go to Japan and have the next generation of young English learners all tell me "I don't mind to be taken as a strict mother"

I played to the end of the first chapter and saved my game.
But when I start again, it restarts at the beginning!
If I go to the save menu, it shows my saved game there!

I ended up losing my save game so I'll have to play back up to that part again ><
The menu options are pretty straight forward. You usually have one that means like "examine", and then when you select it it will show you a list of what you can look at.
And then sometimes you have a few other options instead of examine, such as "speak" or "listen". And sometimes there is one to examine via the touch screen.
I think those are the only 4 options i've seen so far. So its not too hard to figure out which is which even if you cant read it.

True that, but it gets complicated when asked to do certain actions, like what I've encountered before... at least the game isn't too into game over when you use the wrong commands.

Using EZ-flash Vi, I had to use "special mode 5" in order to get it working. I'm guessing its some kind of AP.
I don't know if your flashcart has some sort of workaround like that.
And about that trash can, something doesn't seem right. All the commands in that area have been issued, multiple times. Nothing new happens. The trash can is knocked over (knocking it over made big boxer come out), and I don't see anything else that I can do. I have seemingly done everything that is available in every area up to this point, and I can't find a snake.
I don't know if your flashcart has some sort of workaround like that.

First, I went to the area where the garbage can is and knocked it down, keep pressing the top command where the narrator describes things until the snake came out and somehow scares Charo but he sniffs it later and finds out it's plastic (or any other commands except for move)... then I went to the parking lot and saw the kid was crying cause his snake was thrown in the garbage can and then his mother and the security guard. After that, I keep messing with all the commands (except for the move one) and when the guard kicked me out, I went back to the cafe where the birds are.
Then, I messed with the commands again and listened to the birds until they hinted you need the snake to scare the guy... after that you go back to the garbage can where the snake was and pick it up... just keep messing with the commands until you get the item and then you go to the parking lot again and the guard will be scared shitless he'll let you pass through.
Also, if I recall correctly, there was some patch released somewhere for this game for those having saving issues, maybe you could try using that... xD;

I personally handled a call from the second highest person at Raytheon. That call bothered me a lot... The guy was nice and smart what bothered me was the way management basically just blew him off instead of going the extra mile to help him.
