Great news! I just hope Apple will take a while to start distributing iPhones and iPod Touchs with the new bootrom.

Especially because my iPhone4's back shattered this morning, and I hope I won't get a new iPhone4 with a new bootrom, when I get it back

The exploit still hasn't been released so if you send it away now you'll get one that's un-jailbreakable for now but will definitely have the SHAtter exploit since Apple don't know what it is and therefore how to fix it.

SHAtter works on teh Apple TV? .__.

I thought SHAtter was an exploit in Apple's A4 chip. the Apple TV uses the A4 chip?

I looking into purchasing a 4th generation ipod touch. If this exploit does come available, it will solidify my decision.

If you buy it before it's released you will get the current bootroom but if you buy after it's released you may get the future one that isn't jailbreakable...
