I'm a noob, but...
OS = Win7
.Net 3.5 = Installed (included w/ Win7)
ModMii =v4.2.6

The invalid files are already being commented on. The custom.md5 helps.

The ModMii download freezing was happening to me until I did two things. 1) Put ModMii folder at the root of a drive like "C:\ModMii" and 2) used the "D" (default) setting for the download folder in the ModMii window. This makes it use "COPY_TO_SD" as the subfolder name. Also, the instructions say the "COPY_TO_SD" name is required for the "custom.md5" validation to work.

cheers

With the Custom MD5 it worked great for me, thanks XFlak.

Just a couple of comments:

Despite running the wizard for an already modded wii it wants to use Bannerbomb to install the Homebrew Channel, instead of using whatever method a pre-modded Wii should already have.

Also when doing the mass wad install if 1 fails MMM doesn't tell you which one fails, so it should probably be noted that you need to babysit in case one fails before it tells you to do the mass install. I ended up mass installing twice trying to find the one that failed but of course it succeeded the second time.

And it seems the v19 version of 249 doesn't have the ES Identify patch that Priiloader wants, which is why Priiloader fails repeatedly, seems like it'd be better to make the instructions for running it off 236 the default.

I tested everything, ModMii remains the safest way (for me) to hack a wii, I do not understand that you meet a lot of problem with!
The only thing I hope is to have the sources to put in French
on our forum, I have helped several people with ModMii, I tested all the systems menu and I do not encounter problems

Can you really expose me any problems you encounter, thank you

I suppose you can help me with your problems if you send me a private message or you post on our website (you can write in English)

thank you

@ djgarf, those md5's are the original md5's, so those files will appear valid in the normal md5 check, and as I stated earlier, its okay as long as all the files match either the original or custom md5 checks (so basically ur post was not helpful, but I appreciate the thought

)

@sonknuck23, just kill the nusd.exe process when it freezes, open cmd window and type "tskill nusd"

@everyone, I've already started working on a solution, and it may take awhile because I'm busy in real life (charity bikathon tomorrow morning!!), but its in the works.

has anyone tried installing an "invalid" cIOS? Before doing so, make sure u have bootmii @ boot2 just to be safe, but I would like to know if these invalid cIOSs work

During the Priiloader step of the guide I'm told:

RECOMMENDED HACKS: Block Disc Updates, Block Online Updates, Replace Health Screen, Auto-Press A at Health Screen, Disable Deletion of some important channels, Region-Free Everything, remove no copy save file protection, and Move Disc Channel.
What is meant by the bold item? I don't see anything about disabling channel deletion in Priiloader's System Menu Hacks or Settings.

Check again, since SM 4.2 Preloader/PriiLoader have had hack entries that patched the SM to prevent the deletions of HBC, DVDx, and the Twilight Save. For an example of the hacks.ini entry for SM 4.3U look below:
CODE
[No-Delete HAXX,JODI,DVDX,DISC,DISK,RZDx]
version=513
offset=0x813345A0
value=0x60000000

I'm getting errors in downloading/creating the wads using the latest version of ModMii

I get 9 invalid files. 2 of which are valid against the custom.md5 posted a page back.
Here is the listings of the invalid files. I've tried re-downloading, restarting, always the same invalid files

What can I do?

I keep gettin errors downloading stuff using this.
It keeps saying that the MD5 cannot be verified
and Says something about memory exception issues. However,
I know my memory is good cause have ran several mem tests
and I download all the time (gigs worth) of stuff.

I hope to have a solution thrown together in the next couple days, sorry for the inconvenience... this 4.3B update is just a minor setback

@counteru, wtd, memory exception issues? is that an error box popping up? I've never heard of that b4, try reinstalling .NET framework 3.5, it's likely nusd.exe causing the errors

edit:
oh yea, I just got back from the charity bikathon, I raised $300 for MS, woohoo! Now for a shower, then I'll start working on ModMii v4.2.7 again

Yes, its an error box popping up. I checked to verify that I have .NET framework 3.5 installed and it is. I am on windows 7. I am gonna keep trying to download but it seems I just can't get 14 downloaded. It says cannot verify the MD5 hash. I will close and try again and then sometimes I get the popup box. I will paste a screen shot if it happens again. Until then, I suppose I am at a loss at least till someone relsolves these issues. Thanks for your reply.

Can i not download just the files that it keeps missing? Is there somewhere to go get these ios's that it says failed MD5 verification?

btw.. here is the error that pops up on me.
