Outside of National Treasure2 which came with the PSP and those 2 Family Guy season 1+2 and 3 box sets I have none left as I sold them.

I'm currently attempting to use Free DVD to MP4 convertor, freeware version uses only medium quality which is sharp enough for a small psp screen, problem is it's goddamn slow as Indy4 was wanting to take over 3 hours or so do to which I had to stop last night. I wish I could find something faster but pspvideo9 made no goddamn sense at all and wouldn't let me take dvd to mp4, had to go round about with it which was even slower and complex.

Just because the devs were cut out in a purchase does not mean it's stealing.

If I sell my pontiac, is the buyer stealing from GM? Since GM is gov. owned I guess that's federal time amirite?

If I sell my DVDs, is the buyer stealing from the MPAA?

If I sell my Washer, does that mean the buyer is stealing from Whirlpool?

I could go on and on.

I do agree that what Gamestop does should be illegal (buying a game for $2.00, and selling it for $20), but that's another case altogether. Selling your previously owned games, no matter if you're selling the game itself, or the license to use it, it is still a 100% legal transfer of goods. This shouldn't even be a discussion.

It's not. It's a total facepalm worthy, mile wide miss of the point. Downloading games is illegal, but this has never been a matter of dispute, except for when overman1977 made it so.

VAMPIRE HUNTER D
( i love that anime)

try WinX software.... winx dvd to psp is awesome... i have a single core 1.6g processor and 1 .4 gb memory.... and it takes my pc anywhere from 1-3 hours to a movie... depending on compression settings, length of movie and size of movie on disk... and i always use lowest quality and its still totally awesome...

Way to miss the point...the whole reasoning behind the argument is to compare and contrast the final cost to dev's and publishers. My point was that Wynd's remark was just off the cuff submissiveness with no thought behind it. Your totally unrelated comeback has nothing to do with my point, which was concerned with that initial stealing is similar to buying used.

I suppose the point was indeed missed. As far as devs. and publisers go they receive the same $0 amount from used game sales as they would from stealing a game. My bad, sorry for the confusion.

Maybe the internet companies could be levied for some of the missed revenue of downloaded games just like the companies that produce blank cd and dvds are.
In Canada there is a 'tax' on buying blank discs to compensate music and movie companies for lost revenue. I'm pretty sure there is something like that in place in the U.S. as well. Last year 30 million dollars was paid to canadian music companies because of this....

I bought used games all the time....until recently.

Let's face the facts here: the UMD bombed, and Sony admitted to that.
The only time I buy PSP games, is when I see them cheap, so yes, I would buy a new UMD for $5.

Using the UMD for video was pointless when the ability to encode your own videos via memory stick use was available, and even third party licensed video could be shown through memory stick.

Even with a 2GB which has been at a very fair price for a few years now, you can fit a large amount of decent quality video; at the moment I have the whole of Chappelle's Show Season 2 loaded, with a bit of space to spare for game demos and homebrew.

Theres only a few times i might buy a UMD (Monster Hunter 3rd and KH:BBS being 2 of the upcoming reasons, possibly MGS:PW and the majority of NIS's games since i love them)

I hope you realize that even if you buy the UMD you will still have to use an ISO as it is impossible to play KH:BBS without modifying the ISO image. Of course, it is possible that there will be a 5.50 GEN-E by then that has 6.20 game support built in.

Oh yeah, there are those 'must have' games >_>
For me, those types of games are ones which are rare to find in large quantities or rare to find anyway; stuff like Megaman Powered Up and Maverick Hunter X, of which I've only seen about 2-3 copies of each (in the entirety of the game shopping experience called life, lol). A few of the other games I've gotten were bundled with the system or with each other, like my first edition GTA Liberty City Stories with my PSP, and Daxter/Ratchet&Clank bundled in 2for40-like deals. This is especially important since the game market in Australia is deadset awful.

I'd love to buy DJ max for 5 bucks. But even then, having owned a bunch of UMDs before, it's a bit doubtful.

makers of blank media are not at fault for piracy... blank media is intended for personal storeage of data... home movies like bar-b-que or kids first word etc....texts, pictures whatever... and this allows people to share these with friends and family ... sort of takes the place of vhs tapes and a whole lot of money going to photo developing.... in the end, its just like parents blaming makers of video games for their kids bad behavior when its the parents fault for allowing their 10 year old child play a game rated m-mature.

im not sure of the details of the internet companies for game downloading that your talking about.... i know there are some that charge a fee per month for a membership for something like that.... i figured they had an arrangement ... for the games they give free are probably public property law since they have been out for 20+ years.
