Pokesav DS is a project that Chase-san is working on and it is slightly different than the PC version, better in some cases, but isn't meant to have all of the features that the PC version has.

Getting rid of that stupid 3rd badge let me catch sudowoodo and progress in the game. Thanks so much.

ok this is just a crazy suggestion or a suggestion that someone else probably did but is it possible that who made the JP version patch AP free could somehow put it in the USA version?

The US AP is a lot harder so would take more time. Besides, IIRC, the person who cracked the Japanese AP was Japanese, why would they care about spending time to play an English game? I could be wrong on that, but I'm pretty sure someone mentioned them being Japanese.

didn't think that it would be harder to crack, i just thought it would have a different AP (same level of difficulty) than the Japanese version

Actually the problem isn't the third badge itself, but the fact that you have 3 badges. If you win another badge after removing whitney's, your game will still freeze faster than before.

Nah, this is apparently some difficult to crack one from what I've heard. Its going to take time. I hope it will be cracked in under 8 days, so I can get some time on it before I can collect my pre order. Sucks living in a country that gets games later that the US. All my Backloggery friends seem to be playing it but I get to wait.

same here delta but i really hope there's no special event before the crack, because if that happens then we'll rely on the cheat update which i think can take a little longer

i did heard of that, the more time played the faster the AP kicks in to stop ya. i just didn't believe it
Yeah, there is an events count that lowers depending on badges. 0 badges = 24 events, 1 = 21, 2 = 15, 3 = 3, 4 = some negative number so won't load.

You live in the US, right? You always have the option of going into a store at least. Sell off some junk if you don't have some cash laying around.

but the pokewalker thingy isn't required to run the game right?
Pretty much bonus stuff. Has unique pokemon, items, and IIRC areas and events. You can always play without it, you just won't get everything available without it.

Holy crap, I just use to think all you could do was only level up one pokemon at a time carrying it around and such. Great to find out that the pokewalker was not a half assed feature. Can you use it to battle other people's pokewalker pokemon? That would be neat.

Here is some info. http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Pok%C3%A9walker and http://www.serebii.net/heartgoldsoulsilver/pokewalker.shtml (second is from the Japanese version, may be differences I don't know of). Even includes a simple battle system.

Will the savefile of the japanese version of the game work on the US version because I already finished the jap version, would that mean that it would crash more often?

you can use your japanese save file on the us version
but it won't fix the crash/freezing issue
