i have a prob, i followed all the instructions, i can select a game but after that it freezes in black screen, what am i doing wrong? can the ysmenu package from yabus site also be used to make out ysmenu? because i don't even find the YSMenu0903270000 version, could that be the prob?

Did you delete all traces of the previous YSMenu from your SD card before putting the new one on? If any of the older files are left over then it won't work properly. Don't just overwrite.nunofgs said:

I was hoping I would get this working before heading to bed today, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Hopefully I will get it working tomorrow.
If you guys look in the newer thread for a fix for M&LBiS, the one specifically for r4's and whatnot, you should be able to get it working using YSMENU, and no patched rom is needed.
I got mine working perfectly, saving and all.

Homebrew is more important to me than anything else so I hope to hear back from someone on this.
Also, is it possible to keep the R4 1.18 firmware on my card and then simply select the YSMenu.nds file to switch firmwares after powering up the DS?
I miss my old skin and feel I had previously with the 1.18 firmware.

Hi all just wondering if i can get some help on this, ive done all the patching and for some reason even when im using moonshell 2 boot the game it still hangs at the save select screen, as all of the r4 users ive ben waiting for a while so any advice?

I updated my DSTT kernel, Mario and Luigi BIS works fine but now I can't load any homebrew (lameboy, usrcheatup etc.)
Does anyone have the same problem or perhaps know how to fix it?
EDIT: Fixed it adding r4.dldi file to my TTMENU folder.

i'm not sure where i did wrong, but i'm in the same boat as other ppl are, i use an R4 Revolution (i suppose it's original
anyway, the basic one that doesn't read sdhc and is stuck at v1.18). i formatted my sd card (after a back-up ofc) and i followed all the steps, from first to last, and other than having moonshell in japanese (i'll change language later) and not getting to use cheats since moonshell boots rom, i get to boot the game, but freeze at the start game screen, like before with just a normal R4. i'll try to remake it from the beginning, in any case, not sure it has been asked in the topic already, but does it work with KH 358/2 as well? thanks
edit: i've just seen loesjoel's guide, i'll try following that atm, otherwise i'll just retry the whole thing again, and if it doesn't work....man i hate r4 and myself not being able to patch it ._.
edit(again): not working, formatted r4 and used his guideline. i still get stuck at start game screen ._. but now something happened that didn't happen before. at step 13, where i run r4.bat. this time when i ran it, it said Error: dldi-head not found, press a key to exit...but after that the program continues on as normal, creating a R4_custom_English.zip with the ttmenu folder and the _DS_MENU inside. where did i go wrong?
