I'm gonna ask a terribly noob-esque question here: If I have the scrubbed version running through the Backup Loader, can I also play online. And if so, where is my friend code?

Sorry, but I'm new to the wii-scene and have never played a game online before outside of the pc. i'd like to check out other towns though...

Yes you can play online.

Once you have completed Tom Nooks tasks go to the gate at the top of your town, go in and talk to the dog on your right, and ask him for your friend code. You will then need to add other peoples friend codes via the menu at the bottom ( the heart). You also Leave and open your gate to visitors here.
