Unless they changed it from the Japanese version, the secret characters are just the regular ones dressed up in costume.

I don't see any wi-fi logo on the box. I'll find out tomorrow when I try it, too late now.

the Japanese version didn't have wifi, but Capcom USA announced they would add it for the "western release" - to me that implies US and Europe, but maybe they're only putting it in the US release after all.. That or the logo just isn't on that particular box shot.

edit: although on Capcom Europe's website it mentions online.. hopefully its there after all, i'd like to think the days of capcom screwing europe on online (auto modellista, resident evil outbreak) are long gone

I have a sad feeling you're right, we may have to wait for the US version. Gametrailers has an online walkthrough so it's definitely online for that version

Online seems to consist of playing 9 random holes. It also has a 'win record' where you kind of win badges when you win online, the badge has the pic of the player you beat with a number on it which tells you how many times that player won before you beat them. You can also fill the screen with writing to put the other player off which looks kind of weird.

From the previews I've read, Tiger Woods 09 sounds like it'll be very good.

Just tried it on my Wiikey'd Wii with only brickblocker. Runs fine.

I really enjoy the mechanics in this game. It feels very good!

A golf game made by a guy that has never played golf once in his life and doesn't really like it.
I'd be interested in trying it, but probly not paying full price.

Also Pengya (Super Swing Gold in the US) has a course ontop of batleships. And thats just an awsome thats hard to beat.

Unless theres a course inside a megaman stage. Then that would be awsome.

Online play makes it sound really good though.
Guess I'll have to look out for it.

Still, wish they'd just be honest and call it "We dont really care about golf!"
or "Capcom's game with a stick."

easily the best golf game on the wii, very nice gameplay, easy to pick up, but will clearly take a fair amount of time to master
