Didn't see a thread for this surisingly. What games are you currently playing?

Here's mine...

Zelda 1 2nd Quest - I beat the first quest numerous times but never got beyond dungeon 5 in the second quest. I'm just about done. I've explored about half of the final dungeon. It's pretty long so I made a save state and will finish it this week.

Suikoden 1 - I always heard good things about this series but have never played it. I just started it last night and am still working through the intro scenes. I'm fond of SNES / PS1 era RPG's and it's supposed to be fairly short for a JRPG, so I expect good things.

Zelda TOoT - I've been replaying the original 64 version with my kid. She loves watching the Zelda games. I never beat the original, I wasn't a fan when it first came out and preferred the 2D games. I did beat the 3DS version. We just got to adult Link and are retrieving the hookshot and getting Epona before tackling the first temple.

Quake 2 - Replaying this on Switch. Just beat the first few levels. Still holds up great 30 years later. I was working my way through the Doom series....enjoyed 1 & 2 tons, 3 not so much, doom 2016 is so bland I quit after an hour. I played the first few episodes of the recent Heretic re-release but got burnt out by the underwater dome area. Switched to Quake 2 for my FPS and I'm enjoying myself a lot more. It feels a lot like doom 1 & 2 but in 3D. I love 90's FPS design compared to modern shooters.

Castlevania DS Collection - I beat DoS, which was always one of my favorites in the series, just a great metroidvania. I got to the false ending of PoR, then looked up how to get the true ending. I just beat the sisters and I'm struggling to beat the whips spirit, so I may just go level up in some of the last few levels and try again later. PoR I had mixed feelings of when it came out, but its pretty good overall. I never bought OoE when it came out on DS so I'm excited to try it out.

UFO 50 - Been really enjoying this collection of games so far. It got me back into 70's and 80's gaming like the Atari collection and NES titles I grew up on. I beat barbuta and loved it, then beat the snake game rip off. Now I'm working on the ninja side scroller and the metroid knock-off.

Might start up Crystalis once I finish Zelda 1. I beat the GBC version but never played the NES version, and it's supposed to be better....
Been playing Blox Fruits again lately, plus a few smaller Roblox games here and there.
I always tell myself I'm only jumping in for a quick run, then somehow an hour disappears lol. Blox Fruits is still the one I keep coming back to when I feel like grinding.

Cyberpunk 2077. I was skeptical about the game but recently watched 1 season of Edgerunners and became interested in game itself. Bought on Switch 2. There were also some other minor games like ltc dice where i spent not so many but still....a lot of time. But Cyberpunk really won my heart over those other games you know. Too bad that i didn't play it earlier you know

One could say that I am a man of extremes.

Sam Mallard – The Case of the Missing Swan.
Very short and cute homebrew game for the original Gameboy. The whole game is ~20 minutes long... but I spent three hours looking for the stick. The stick is vital.

It's behind a bush.

Give it a try.

Ah, I played that on the GBC recently! I couldn't do without a guide at later parts, but I think it's very well done for what it's worth. Not that straightforward to play, but it's quite charming for a homebrew game like this.

Just gave Project Cars 2 another chance.

i got this game for free with Games With gold (cant remember when), and i tried to play it on my One X, and the frame rate was shitte so i gave up trying to play it after a few short sessions.

The other day i in the mood of trying some of my gigantic back log and saw the game on my library so i gave it a go on my Series X, and what a diference.
I'm not sure, but it appear to have a solid 60fps even with the "better graphics" option turned on.

As for gameplay, the physics are really good. Might not be as good as the latest Forza (aka forza 8), but this game also has car destruction physics, something that is missing from all Forza's games.
One can even lose a well on this game, and i love realism like this.

Visuals are also good. I think at the level of Forza 6.

The only complaint i have is the 3rd person view of the car. The way the camera follows the car when the player turns is kinda weird and somewhat "stiff".

If this game had run as good as its running on a Series console, it would blow Forza out of the competition as the number 1 racing sim game on the Xbox One.
Sadly, either the hardware was just to weak or the game was not as polished back then.

I'm glad i gave it another go.

Another thing I enjoy exploring in my spare time is online casino games. There's actually a surprising amount of variety, from classic fruit slots to games inspired by mythology, ancient Egypt, fantasy worlds and even popular adventure themes. I find the different visual styles, sound effects and bonus rounds interesting, especially when each game has its own mechanics rather than just repeating the same formula. Some slots feature free spins, multipliers and special symbols that add extra features to the gameplay. I've been browsing holy spin to check out different options and discover games I haven't tried before. Of course, I treat casino games as entertainment, set a budget beforehand and never expect winnings. It's just another option when I want a change from my usual gaming routine.
The Series X really seems to make a difference here. It's frustrating when a good game gets held back by performance issues, especially when the physics and handling are this solid. The car damage is a great feature too, since it makes mistakes feel more meaningful instead of just bouncing off a barrier and carrying on. I've been playing Wreckfest 2 lately, mostly because I enjoy racing games where collisions and damage actually matter. There's something satisfying about a race getting messy and having to adapt instead of driving perfect laps every time.

Dragon's Dogma II Dark Arisen

Finished 3x3 Eyes Seima Kourinden, after me and Claude translated it. It was a long wait, but the translation efforts were eventually dropped and I took it upon myself to do it.

dude Adventure games from the 80's and 90's rock glad someone mad a homebrew game looks pretty good on the GB oh i rented that new harvest moon for switch 2 so i've been busy

On my way to 100% Castlevania - Belmont's Curse, or get as close to it as I can. Been having a blast going through it, though the platforming in some parts can be more challenging than the bosses themselves sometimes. Not sure if it is the hype of one of my favourite game series coming back or it being that good, but the game is easy becoming one of my favourites from the series at the moment.

Been hopping between short mobile sessions and longer PC nights lately. On the phone it's mostly quick arena or survival runs when I have ten minutes. On PC I only sit down when I've got a real block of free time. Anyone else mostly on mobile these days or still mostly console/PC?
