A few hours ago today I found out about the port of the decompilation of Sonic Mania for Wii U made by Clownacy and I was wondering if someone has already made a port of the decompilations of Sonic CD, Sonic 1 and Sonic 2 for Wii U.

The only way I know of to play the Sonic CD Decomp on Wii U is by using the Wii port made by ultra0000 in the vWii

Yes all 3 were done before Sonic Mania. There is a thread about them somewhere on the temp.

Hey everyone!

I've been working on an updated version of the Sonic CD (2011) Wii U port, based on RSDKv3 1.3.3, building on the previous Wii U porting work by Clownacy.

I've recently released our first public beta, with several updates and improvements:

  • Updated RSDKv3 1.3.3 codebase
  • Native Wii U WUHB build
  • Audio stability improvements
  • Developer Menu support
  • Experimental mod loader support
  • Successful testing on real Wii U hardware
I noticed some people here were looking for better mod compatibility, so I thought this might be of interest.

Mod support is still experimental, and I haven't verified compatibility with the specific mods mentioned in this thread yet. I'd be happy to hear feedback from anyone interested in testing.

GitHub / Beta 1:
https://github.com/vbarros22/RSDKv3-Decompilation/releases/tag/wiiu-1.3.3-beta1

This is an independent, unofficial update. Full credit goes to the original RSDKv3 developers, contributors, and Clownacy for the earlier Wii U porting work.

The release does not include game assets; you'll need your own legally obtained Sonic CD data files.

Thanks!

You should make your own post dedicated to this port
