Found this game still on my hard drive when I was messing around with Vita3K and remembered I kinda helped with its initial partial translation 6 years ago, then a thought came to me that it would be nice if it were 100% translated. The game is more than 60% translated already, it wouldn’t be that hard to continue, right? So, with the blessing and permission of the Initial English patch by u/TFritzelagram, this is the Full English patch of Miracle Girls Festival.

As usual, like some of my projects, this is a translation using machine/AI translation and then edited by a non-English speaker. The source material will also be released so anyone can translate the game into their own language or make a proper human English fan translation. Just don’t expect clean code in my QuickBMS scripts, since I’m not a programmer.

Change log: v1.00

What’s currently done:

○ All in-game text, dialog, lyrics, images with text
○ All DLC text, combined the translation to the base game
○ Worked around to translate Special messages as they have no text box
○ Added Karaoke Lyrics to the game opening video theme
○ Album Cover in Song Selection (used official anime logo)
○ Game Credits

What’s not translated:
○ Trophies
○ Audio insert/comentary as they don’t have any text box to edit
○ Background videos on the big screen of the stage during songs
○ Manual

What’s done with MTL/AI?
○ The story dialog
○ Speech-to-text transcription and translation of the Special messages
○ Clean up on some album covers images
○ Translation of the remaining untranslated text from the initial release 6 years ago

Known bugs:
○ Some image text may appear too small or squished
○ There may be random crashes on Vita3k or depending on your GPU or vita3k build, try Vita3k+ or Vita3k Enhanced or try OpenGL for backend renderer of Vita3k
○ An old save file might hang or crash on Vita3k if you install all 15 DLC, it will work if you have 7 or fewer. Creating a new save with 15 DLC works
○ Some graphics do not appear on Vita3k, but there is no issue on a real Vita. ex. The glass of the figurine case does not show on Vita3k
○ After the opening video theme ends on Vita3k, it hangs on a white screen until you press Start, even with the original video, no issues on a real Vita
○ Let me know if you found another one.

Additional Notes:
○ The Game runs on 408p, but you can use VitaGFX to upscale it to 544p, overlock might be needed

PS VITA Requirements:
○ Vita game Title ID: PCSG00610
○ Hacked Vita (Enso/h-encore 3.60/3.65/3.74)
○ Repatch plugin (installed on the Vita and verified working) (dots-tb rePatch reDux0 does not work on 3.74. Use SonicMastr/rePatch-reLoaded on Vita higher than 3.65)
○ NoNpDrm plugin (installed on the Vita and verified working)
○ re00d v1.1/0syscall6
○ Vitashell
○ FTP program (WinSCP recommended, for decrypted file dumping)
○ This English patch

How to install English patch files:

On a modded Vita Hardware:

  2. Run the game.
Note*
Alternatively, you can just copy it directly to your micro-SD card if you are using an SD2VIta card or USB/HDD if you are using a Vita TV.

On a Vita3k Emulator (PC/Android/Switch)
  1. Install the game and DLC according to Vita3k instructions, test if the game is working fine, and exit the game.
  2. Install MGF_English_patch_v1.00_for_rePatch_and_vita3k.zip via Vita3k File -> Install Archive (.zip / .vpk /.vci) or drag and drop the zip to Vita3k
Special Thanks to u/TFritzelagram (Kuya Mimikyu) for giving me permission to continue the project, Noice nana-kuu-ni, Rin Punipuni and Kuya Mimikyu, the people who made the initial translation possible.
