Relapse PS5 kernel exploit brings homebrew to firmware 7.00-13.60

Relapse PS5 kernel exploit brings homebrew to firmware 7.00-13.60

The PlayStation 5 scene has received a massive breakthrough with the public release of Relapse, a new exploit chain developed by Nathan Fargo in collaboration with Sonic ISO and other prominent scene developers.

The exploit targets firmware versions 7.00 all the way up to 13.60 across original, Slim, and Pro console models. This release drastically improves loading times for newer firmwares (above 12.00), dropping wait times down to just a few seconds compared to older, slower methods.
  • Supported Firmware: 7.00 – 13.60 (Firmware 14.00 and above remain unexploited).
  • Execution: Utilizes a browser-based entry point combined with a kernel exploit chain to grant kernel read/write access.
  • Payloads: Initial hosting variants support essential tools including Kstuff, Shadow Mount Plus, and ETA-HEN for running homebrew and game backups.
  • Please note: the exploit is temporary meaning a full system reboot requires re-running the exploit .
Users staying on lower firmwares looking to jump into the homebrew scene are advised to disable automatic system updates immediately to prevent accidental firmware upgrades.

GTA V on a PS4 Pro (hacked) can play at 55fps so who knows.

Forza Horizon 4 on the Xbox One X can run at 30 "Quality Mode" or 60 "Performance Mode"... Give me the latter any day. The game looks great, on the Quality Mode the graphics are slightly better I'd say, but you can feel how slow it all looks once you're used to 60.
I've kind of been more interested in playing 007 or black flag resynced tbh but unsure if this new exploit will support newer titles above 8.0.

Im super excited, I kept my pro offline for this, did it today.

My new pro comes tomorrow

My kids can have my base ps5

I just need to figure how to get my phone to send payloads like cheatrunner

And wonder if debug will get support to use reaper and ps4cheater tools to connect to games and scan memory

It's going to be pretty hysterical if GTA6 day1 launch can run on a hacked PS5.
Doubtful. There was a 14.0 hypervisor exploit but a AI vibe code kiddie reported it to Sony even though the Flow told them to fucking wait until GTA VI

Guaranteed GTA VI will require 14.0+ which means potentially a dump if done via private undisclosed exploit but we're not going to have a backport for a god damn long time

if I pickup a ps5, can I stay on the older firmware on initial setup?
I don't know, but every PlayStation I've owned before has only asked to update when signing into PSN, so I think it's fine. I guess just incase, you can avoid connecting it to the internet.
