Images for the rumoured Zelda-themed limited edition Switch 2 for The Legend of Zelda's 40th Anniversary have started to leak online.

The leak shows only the cardboard box that holds the actual console, not the console itself, but it gives a good glimpse at what the console and its controller would look like. The console itself has Joycons with special green and golden colouring to them, with the right Joycon showing some green motifs, and the left Joycon having the classic Hylian symbol on its lower left corner. The Dock for the Switch 2 also showcases a special design, with a big Triforce showing on the front of it, as well as some motif designs around it to accompany the Triforce.

As for the controller, it follows a similar motif design to that seen on the Switch 2's Dock, with several Triforce designs on its front.
It's still unknown when exactly whe limited edition console will become available, but given how the console has already leaked, it's likely that the announcement will come in the upcoming days.

Only ppl happy about this are console collectors. But this is always what Nintendo does. They throw out themed consoles b4 releasing newer models.
The design isn't even that good compared to past Zelda editions of other consoles/controllers.

And so on. So you see, this NS2 Zelda is a bit of a lazy edition like Sony's crappy DualSense controller designs.

I'll give you one example...

This is just pathetically stupid. If I didn't know it was based on God of War I'd think it's just a regular controller with a red stripe.

Looks nice. Miiight get the Pro controller? Both me and my dad already have a Switch 2. No need fer a painted model. But I don't have a Pro controller fer Switch 2.

Excited fer OoT Remake heh.

How did I know that would be the first comment?

How did I know?
ChibiRobo is goated BTW, but yeah I mean OLED does look nicer, best friend has a Switch 1 OLED, but I think LCD is just perfectly fine. People gotta E-peen and be negative somehow though I guess lol.

Looks decent. But since they're not showing off the back, confirmed that Switch 2 limited editions will be just like the OG Switch ones, only the joycons and dock are different. How disappointing... It's the cheapest way to do it, but it sure does make them feel a lot less special, you could just buy the joycons and dock second hand and use them with your existing console.
