I prefer playing my Switch 1 games on my Switch OLED since I love PNGShot too much, but any Switch 2 Editions compatible with the Switch 1 go straight into my Switch 2 since the loading times are way better.

Switch 2, easily. It's just a very comfortable console to hold and every game looks/runs better. I love OLED, but a good (ish) IPS like the Switch 2 is fine for 99% of games

I saw no benefit at all to keeping the Switch I had, so the answer is the NS2. it does anything the old did, but better as the performance gains are real handheld and docked it's a winner.

This isn't an A or B question tbh.
If the game has no improvements on the Switch and it runs great, I prefer the Switch Oled, if it has improvements and looks and runs better, like it is the case with several games like Eiyuden Chronicle and and SMT V Vengeance, I will obviously play them on the Switch 2.

For this reason I did not vote.

I don't know... I am sure not on the Switch 1, I gave mine to my brother as a gift, kind of.
I guess it would be Switch 2, I played some on the Steam Deck too... I wonder...
When was the last time I played a Switch 1 game... it must be long ago... which game was it even?
I don't know anymore, but I think it was on the Switch 2.

It was probably Hades? Unless the Switch 2 upgraded Hollow Knight counts too?
Or some visual novels... I remember playing 一緒に行きましょう逝きましょう生きましょう and 探し物は、夏ですか? for a while trying to improve my poor Japanese, sure I did that on the Switch 2, even though those are Switch 1 games.

I do like the Switch 2 over the Switch 1 to play Switch games... but I don't really have much free time anymore, what a pity, I haven't played for real since... sometime last year I guess.

Switch 2 for docked and switch 1 when I want to lay on my couch and play. Wish I had a pro controller for it though...

I play my switch 1 games on my switch 1 and my switch 2 games on switch 2. Both have separate accounts and are not linked. And i get to friend myself Yay.....
I'm continuing the way i have done it since 1987. get the new one and put it next to the old one....I dont like do do everything on one device.....

Just use one of the newer Chinese controllers. The Switch Pro controller is the worst modern controller, being outpaced by the PS4/PS5 and Xbox controllers. My Easy SMX X20 smokes Sony and M$'s offerings. I was using my X20 on the Switch 2 just fine.

No excuse for modern controllers to not have Hall Effect or TMR sticks. Oh wait, that's right...there is an excuse. When the controller breaks, you can buy another! Hilarious that Sega in the 90s made controllers with Hall Effects that still work fine to this day.

Per Topic, I have both and play neither. It has been several years since I played the Switch 1, and the Switch 2 I dropped within a week of launch.

You’re right, no excuses for them not to include hall effect or TMR sticks other than mentioned 😅. Switch 1 Pro controller is good ( or comfy to be precise ) but waaaay toooo pricey and feels empty compared to modern ones
