# Cemu-nx — Nintendo Switch

An unofficial homebrew port of the Cemu (Wii U) emulator to Nintendo Switch, with an all-in-one SDL launcher, cover-art library, per-game settings, graphics packs, controller remapping.

## Features

- **Cover art** — auto-download from SteamGridDB
- **Per-game settings** and graphics-pack configuration
- **Controller remapping**, multiplayer input, gyro and vibration
- **Joy-Con Amiibo scanning**
- **TV and Wii U GamePad audio**
- **Hardware H.264 decoding** through Averne/FFmpeg
- **SD, USB and SMB storage support**
- **Game, update and DLC installation and management**
- **Experimental Pretendo and custom online-service support**
- **WUA, WUD, WUX, WUHB, RPX, ELF, ISO and extracted-game support**

## Renderer

- **Vulkan (NVK)** — @dantiicu

## Notes

- Launch through Homebrew Menu in **full application/title-override mode**, not Album mode.
- Place the nro `sdmc:/switch/Cemu/` and your keys in `sdmc:/switch/Cemu/keys.txt`.
- First-time shader compilation can cause stuttering or long pauses. Later runs should be faster.
- Press **L + R + Plus** during gameplay to open the quick menu.
- Game compatibility and performance will vary.

stupid question but how are you supposed to store games on the sd card, as the format mostly used by switch sdcards is FAT32 and wiiu iso are way larger than 4gb?

@Nagaa
Thank you very much!.. My beloved «Duck Tales Remastered» works silky smooth in 60 fps!..

@Nagaa take a bow man! 👌

However... I get an Atmo panic when trying to run Wind Waker HD. Can't get to title screen after initial load screen 🤷

Using unpacked version of the game if it helps and loading from HBL and from a forwarder

try with WUA / WUX format and make sure to have keys.txt, i didn't really tried any unpacked games yet it may have issue

What overclock settings do you recommend for running Zelda: Wind Waker ?
I tried running it as-is, but I just keep getting an atmosphere crash.
2193 CPU / 2400 RAM Minimum
For the GPU it depend on the resolution 900p - 1228MHz / 720p - 921 MHz
Disabling Vulkan Accurate barrier can increase performance but can cause graphical issue in some games

How is the gamepad handled? Or is it not at all?
Games that rely on the gamepad screen are not supported

Fantastic work. Don't suppose you can create game shortcuts to launch games from the switch home screen? @Nagaa
You can, i show it in the video

Awesome work! Does it have mod support? I want to try out the mod that makes Color Splash not garbage
It's supported, but the fix for Color Splash didn't seem to work for me and it was still too dark

And now we have WiiU emulation running on the Nintendo Switch.

See what happens when you finally move onto a dying system? The members of the homebrew scene will finally shed light to it and will deliver the impossible onto the system people initially thought was starting to lose the quality that the other systems had. Seeing this really makes me look forward to what happens with the Switch 2.

I see, I'll still try though. Thank you!
