He renamed an airport and added a clause that any biographical details about him at the airport must be approved by his family and the airport must use Trump approved suppliers for merchandise.

Definitely dumb, disgusting, and egotistical. Not sure if it's corrupt. Very dictator-adjacent. Although if he's getting kickbacks from the suppliers, then it would definitely be corrupt.

Even if there was a legit way to do it, you know Trump probably chose the corrupt way.

In what would've been a major scandal if it weren't for so much competition in this field: now he's suing the new York times... For their reporting... On the Qatar-gifted plane.

No, not even because they wrote about political influence it gives qatar. It's about the safety of that thing. It was calculated that the required modifications to ensure it's fit for security and anti spy measurements would take two years. Trump wants it done in less than a year, so the essentials were cut (but the enormous luxuries weren't).
Of course, with Iran threatening to kill him (according to Israel, that is), those essentials were... Well... Essential. So that won't fly.

So why the hell sue? If anything, the NY times looks more after the safety of the president than his own staff. Perhaps I'm missing relevant context here, but aside pettiness I can't think of a reason.
