I just won't buy Playstation games anymore and move to PC and Nintendo Switch 2.

I also this could mean more interesting things outside of the high end, with options like Steam Deck/Gaming Handhelds, Steam Machine, my Mac with Crossover and Arm Windows VM and Switch make gaming more practical for me anyways. Seriously this is a big gift for Valve's Steam Machine.

No need to plan for future expansions of the physical collection whenever a new generation comes out.

There's no way to sell your games or get them second hand. This is why I am glad GKC exists. Full digital is worse.

Upsettingly inevitable. I use GameFly primarily for keeping up with new releases. I know that sounds antiquated, but it's the cheapest way for me to actually experience new releases. It's just kind of sad to see happen.

-Games are surpassing 100GB + in size they would need a new format to print them on
-Most the times people have PS5 hardwired to ethernet or Wifi so it's not a huge deal to buy digital these days
Downfall
-Less disc space in your cabinet
-you're forced to always download games
-you can't return digital bought game
-you'll probably be forced into getting another subscription like ea play.
-you'll be buying more SSD space and deleting and redownloading

I’m going to miss collecting physical but more than anything this sucks because we’re still in the middle of this memory shortage and things don’t look like they’re gonna get better anytime soon, and with game file sizes ballooning it’s not looking too good. Hope you like constantly having to cycle games because you don’t have enough storage.

Nah, you can just use multiple discs. No need for a new format. Horizon forbidden west complete edition and ff7 rebirth already do this. An install disc and a play disc.

My niece and nephews like to rent their Switch 1/2 games from the library. I guess if Nintendo does such a thing, no more renting new games from the library. lol
