The final announcement is Zelda related. The rumors were true all along. Nintendo will be remaking Ocarina of Time. It'll be out this year.

Hope OoT is not JUST a Remake.
Also hope it's NOT OoT + Master Quest...

I expect new Dungeons, new Mechanics, new Items... but with traditional formula.

OoT deserves it, and us, "veteran" Nintendo fans, who grew up alongside these franchises deserve a better remake justification beyond "Look! Looks Modern" and or "It's because we're making a Zelda Movie".

...

"The Legend of Zelda - The Movie. The Game"
Square had every opportunity to fix the crystal palace in final fantasy iii and chose not to, and even the developers that were around then, hate that final dungeon.

Miyamoto has his head so far up his own ass, and has nobody above him to be his own checks and balances. He ain't changing shit about Ocarina, and demanding $90+ for a game key card on top of it.

Exactly my point.

BUT... Nintendo might go with the following direction:

- Zelda OoT remake outsells Breath of the Wild = Nintendo realizes that the traditional formula with 4K graphics equals money... remakes Majoras, Twilight Princess, Wind Waker, and makes a new game.

- Zelda OoT remake generates enough money because Nostalgia = Nintendo realizes they can now milk Majoras, Twilight Princess and Wind Waker, makes a new game with this new graphic style.

- Zelda OoT is just there to promoto movie, movie does well = Nintendo makes 2nd Zelda Movie.

It's not remake just because they can, they're testing public's reaction and income to decide Zelda's Future.
If it was "just for nostalf**s" they could've made this back during the Wii U era.

Square trying again to remake their mobile game like solid rpg is kinda weird too...
I don't know about this, I think they have better titles to revive using HD-2D or whatever...

The first time I've ever been let down by a Xenoblade trailer; huh, didn't know that could happen.
Kingdom Hearts 4 looks interesting, though.
Ocarina of Time remake? They're actually going back to the FUN Zelda formula, albeit with a remake? AWESOME! Might actually use the Switch 2 I got for Christmas last year, for once!

Didn't care about anything else; long since stopped being interested in Fire Emblem, honestly.

did not expect OoT Remake ngl, but it make sense to have a new? Zelda Switch 2 entry to accompany the supposed Zelda movie, it's a safe choice that wouldn't backfire on them no matter what is exactly what they need.
good direct 7/10!

Hello Kitty: Party Land. Now we are talking.

The rest of the presentations was meh .

Easy money for them.

I'm not expecting lots of new stuff.
It would be cool if there was, but it is an official remake after all, and not "OoT 2" or a fan game.

Of course it will be more than a very good "hd mod" lol, but I still think there will be a limit of the truly new content, and so sounds like you won't be happy with what (I think) it will be.

Oh I'm happy.
I really am!
I just hope Nintendo realizes that the traditional formula of Zelda + HD Graphics is literally what we've been asking for since Twilight Princess.

I do hope this Remake do well and it's not just to promote the Zelda movie.

This remake, in my opinion will literally define the route for next Zelda games.

I'm already hyped for StarFox, also, and quite literally, my fave StarFox game.
Seeing BOTH with hyper real graphics is all I wished for back in the 90s, when I played both games.

Just saying that OoT 2026 needs to go BEYOND what Nintendo delivered oh so many times before, that's all.

Star Fox 64 HD and now Zelda Ocarina of Time 64 HD seems like Nintendo is going to rely on remaking old games as new than make brand new ones.

Still, I'm very interested in both of those so I'll probably get them.

I think I remember reading something about botw came out, that they won't go back to making the "old" zelda type games before (linear, dungeons etc).

Hopefully that's not the case, but yeah at least they're remaking the old ones.

I'll get a switch 2 to play this, no doubt about that.

The way I see it, they're bringing a new life onto a sub-licence of theirs that was basically lost media due to their contractor's way of doing things (that's Gumi/Alim for you, see them like asian Ubisoft but focused on gacha). And the result seems actually good, so, between that and Octopath Zero (which also takes from their now-dead Octopath gacha), there's hope for lost media.

Plus, Dark Fina is delicious as hell. I just hope they'll bring back Reberta for the ride.

Yes, I think it was Koizumi who stated that.
This is why I firmly believe Nintendo is going yo see if the Old Zelda outsells New Zelda, then they might go back to it.
