While it is completly optional, and you could technicaly continue with your old save file, they said the whole game would be reworked, from the start to the end of it, and to fully experience all new features, they recommand us to start a new save.

I suppose it's a good thing I didn't get that far in the game. So I won't feel too bad about starting over.
