Hello everyone,

Just to keep you all informed, I haven’t given up on video games hacking and such!

But this time, I’m going for something very different, that requires me to learn new skills, as I already have started to!

Yes, I’m talking about Game Boy colorization in ASM…

If you’re interested in this, please find the link of my new GBATemp thread below.

On another note, I have updated all the download links for my previous patches, so that when (if) Romhacking goes down, people will be able to get them from RomHackPlaza.

Yours truly.

I know this thread hasn't been active for over a year, but I need help, I just cannot get the game to boot on my homebrewed Wii. I have the game patched and it appears to load correctly (The game's animated channel screen shows up on USB Loader GX) and I moved the save file to my Wii's system memory but when I press play I get just a black screen. Same thing happens on Dolphin with the save loaded on there too. If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know!

Hello. Are you using a PAL Wii, and if so, did you set the video mode to NTSC (Japanese and US system)? Otherwise you'll get a black screen with any foreign game. Please let me know. :)

Hello! I want to thank you so much for getting back to me so soon, it is very kind of you to help me out :)

I'm using an NTSC-U Wii with region free enabled in Priiloader. In other words, my Wii has no problem running other foreign titles like the Fatal Frame games (one is NTSC-J and the other is PAL, both work just fine), only this game is refusing to boot.
I have tried setting my game load to all of the different video mode options In USB Loader GX and none of them have resolved the issue.

Try going to page 9 of the thread : someone had the same issue as you, and could solve it by following a step-by-step procedure to patch their iso.
Maybe try going the same, because it seems the iso doesn't work on dolphin either, which is weird (the save file issue happens typically on real hardware, patched iso or not).
Also, some people seem to have found a solution by using wiiflow once, all of these troubles being apparently related with the fact that some Wiis have issues creating the ticket for the game.
Let me know how it worked!

I went back and followed the steps in page 9 and I got the game to boot! But it's in Japanese. I apologize for the back and forth as I am relatively new to modding and this is first time I've applied a language patch myself.
