You can run the .3dsx version of FBI from the Homebrew Launcher without "installing" it at all.

Ordinarily I would strongly advise against deleting things you don't recognize in FBI, but you just formatted this unit anyway, so there's not much to be lost.

But are you sure it wasn't region-changed before you purchased it?
 
I ran Artic Base, went into a game (for this instance, The Legend of Dark Witch), and gotten this crash. This happens thrice. Any help with fixing this?

I already posted in DS forwarder thread but maybe I will get some help. I want to play games from flashcard on 3ds. I have been following the instructions in the DS forwarder thread to the end but I have the problem on the end. after instaling forwarder to the 3ds and launching it, it sends me not to the game but to the ds menu of the twl menu. I have the R43DS snoopy(yes, I know thats a fake 4r, but anyway). Used the slot-1 ace 3ds files for flashcard. The 3ds is clean from twl menu. What can be the problem? If didn't tell some important info, please tell me that
 
Hi, recently I've modded my 2ds & everything works perfect but i'm having issue with some mario&luigi games, they work but they don't show there logo on the 3ds, if you select the game it's just empty screen, games are in US region & my console is eur region, I thought maybe that was the issue but I have a eur 3ds I've installed the same game files but they show logo there but not on the 2ds? anyone knows how to fix this?

It appears on the top screen, in the scrolling text section. It's the same spot that shows when a game has an update available.

EDIT: I can upload images and attach them. See the attached image for an example of the distribution notification.

Hi everyone. I have a modded New Nintendo 2DS XL. I was wondering if it would be possible to run a series of inputs while playing a specific 3DS game.

I have Luma3DS v13.3.3. The game I am attempting to run inputs on is a cartridge of Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn (according to Checkpoint, the ID is 001D1E00). My goal is to loop the following command: "Press B->Wait 15 frames->Press B->Wait 2 frames"

It would be helpful if there was a way I could toggle this command on and off. I have tried to find solutions on the internet for days now, but I have not been successful. I would really appreciate it if someone could help me figure this out. Please let me know if I need to provide any more information.
 
Heya, I couldn't find a solution so I'm posting my issue here.
Using an older 3Ds, I had it modded before and recently made sure it was updated. I had no issues until now with the internet, and I get error code 003-1099 when trying to connect to internet on the handheld. Can confirm my MAC address had something that isn't just all 0s, and that I have Luma 13.4. Without the Emu, I still am having the same issue too.
Tysm in advance, I'm worried it might just be a hardware thing but still wanted to try to troubleshoot anything else before opening it up (it'd be my first time and just nervous to break it).

The 3DS itself. It ordinarily is connected to my wifi fine, but just recently refuses to find any connection unfortunately. It says "enabled" in the top right and the streetpass is working, but is unable to use any online functionality or find an access point. So this includes web browser, eShop, and any online services. I tried to see if it was because I may have messed something up for the Emu so tried to just go to the CTRNAND for troubleshooting sake. Maybe it didn't matter, but I just don't really know what made it stop and just trying to figure out the why.

You realize online services have been discontinued except for the eShop and Pokemon Bank, right?

Have you installed Pretendo?

Yes.
I installed Pretendo. But I cannot connect the 3ds to wifi connections, which is the issue.
When you go to Luma in the settings while holding the power button, it mentions what its installed on (at least I believe so). I am using an older 3ds I had and modded previously. It is not an emulator.

I connected it to the internet again this week after who knows how long to get some new stuff off the Universal Updater. A bit later I got a system notification that there was a 3DS update ready to be installed. I have been saying no to the update for a couple of days now but it keeps popping back up. Is it safe to update or will it kill my mod? Is there a way to complete suppress the update notification so I don't accidentally press update now when it keeps showing up every day?

s safe to update with luma3ds v13.33 and b9s what you should have

boot9strap is what used to load luma 3ds as boot.firm also maybe you just received the update notification as you didn't connect to the internet they did one in 2022 i think

If there was really a new update, then that would be gigantic news being screamed from the proverbial rooftops and there would be no doubts about what it did.

Did you deliberately remove one of the system apps, like Face Raiders? Because that would prompt the system to "update" itself.

Does System Settings say your system version is 11.17-50?
