Almost done with Buster's (many) expressions in #tinytoon 2 "Montana's Movie Madness" for #gameboycolor. Next step is to look for metatiles much sooner than I did with my previous project! 😀

Played this a lot at recess as the teacher that year had a couple Game Boys and a basket full of games. Couldn’t stop playing this one so I bought it with my allowance at Funcoland. Still a favorite to this day so I’m glad it’s getting the DX treatment!

Looking nice.

Once this is finished this may give me motivation to finish the game because it gets really hard after the first few levels.

This was hard, because the same tile or metatile can need different palettes. Since the horizon has a fixed position, I used it as a reference, and changed a bit in the palette, switching from palette n°2 to n°6 or 3 to 7 accordingly. Still got some limitations, but it works!

Looks nice! Though I suggest to edit the cactuses' graphics so they don't look like they're floating in the air if they are against the blue sky background.

WE is over, and I'm done writing the three routines needed to colorize the #tinytoon "Montana's Movie Madness" title screen for #gameboycolor.I've used the pink shades of the Japanese cartridge and commercial, because the American and European was just plain black. Looks like the Nes game, right?
(Replacing the picture on the first post as well)
