Twilight Princess PC port "Dusk" gets its first release

It wasn't too long ago we saw our first glimpse of Courage Reborn, another Twilight Princess PC port in the works based on last year's decompilation efforts. With each port offering its own take on what an enhanced version of the game could look like, it's a fantastic time to be a fan of the game. And for those wanting to jump back into Hyrule right now, good news has arrived. Dusk has had its first release.

Available for Windows, Mac (ARM and x86), Linux (ARM and x86), Android, and iOS, you will struggle to not have a way to play. Featuring controller-friendly menus, you really just need an ISO for the game to get started. Once that's loaded in, you're able to pick whether you want the classic GameCube experience, or a bunch of new quality of life and graphical changes as your starting point. This port features a great variety of tweaks, most notably for me including an on the fly way to mirror the overworld. Those who grew up playing the Wii version will find this invaluable.

Along with the release, we also got a brief trailer covering a lot of what's included:

A lot of this was fairly well known, with the only major announcement coming at the end with the tease of a randomiser mode. Those interested in getting this setup for themselves can find the downloads below. As mentioned before you will need to supply your own ISO.

>Full speed Saturn emulation
>Bully port
>GameCube/Wii
>Vulkan added to other emulators (PSP for now)
>Twilight Princess after even the Devs said it would take an entire rewrite and too much effort

This guy is so fucking based. And what's strange is that other switch homebrew scene developers really publicly hate and shit on the guy? Jealousy?

I wonder if we'll see people rebuild other Zelda games using the Twilight Princess engine.

Or put Twilight Princess on 3DS. That'd be awesome.

My first Zelda game was Link to the Past, and OMG, the 3D Ocarina of Time was absolutely mind-blowing for its graphics, gameplay, and world building. As mind-blowing as Super Mario 64 was at the time, Ocarina of Time was even more mind-blowing for having all the parts of its world connected, and with an amazing story. And the Z-Targeting, which at the time, was another amazing achievement.

Now that all of that is so commonplace, I don't think anybody playing Ocarina of Time for the first time would understand how much of a MASSIVE step up the game was over everything else. Even compared to the computer games at the time.

Your experience with first playing Wind Waker, and then playing Ocarina of Time reminds me of this persons experience:

If anyone else has the same issue under batocera or Linux in general. You need to browse to "config.json" and add the following...

Code:
"backend.isoPath": "<path to your iso here>",

Without the < or >

Does the Switch version also supports the RVZ format as the PC port?

Can someone confirm this please?

Thanks in advance.
