90s Super GP (fka "The 90s Arcade Racer"), the notorious crowdfunded arcade racing game that only came to vaporware thanks to publisher Nicalis.

Do you think they'd sell the assets back to the community for the right price so it can be finally finished? Can we crowdfund that?

I think they would have made a heap of money if they'd discounted their 3DS and Wii U titles when the eShop was shutting down. Makes one wonder if anything's really going on there anymore.

Can you recall any situation where that's happened to a company in the past..? Anyone willing to spend that kind of money would likely want to develop the product and sell it themselves.

My idea would be to get the code out of their hands and then try to pass it along to some other entity that actually wants to finish work on it. The point is to not let THEM have it, because they refuse to use it.
