I want to do a backup dump of my unhacked switch. I had done this before a few years ago and asked for help here:
None of the hacking guides seem to mention how to do this, all of them talk about how to fully hack the Switch to install CFW or loaders/homebrew, which I don't want to do. I just want to dump a backup of all my my Switch's internal keys, contents, etc without modifying it in any way.
Thankfully I have a lunch-era Switch which is susceptible to Fusee, even if it's on the latest firmware (from my understanding no firmware can patch this and even on the latest it will work, right?). First of all, is there any difference in which jig I get? I see a few different designs on eBay/Aliexpress...
But it has been a while and I am not sure if anything has changed.
I have a unhacked Switch 1 that's on the latest official firmware, but it's a model that has the Fusee exploit. I don't want to hack it or install anything on it, just dump a backup of my keys and NAND, I have a Jig key.
From my understanding I need to:
Plug in the Jig key
Plug in a SD card with Lockpick_RCM and Hekate on it
Hold down volume up and press power
Plug in into my PC and run TegraRcmGUI
Use TegraRcmGUI to inject Lockpick_RCM to dump my keys
Use TegraRcmGUI to inject Hekate to dump a backup of my NAND (I don't remember how to exit lockpick so I can then boot into Hekate though)
Is all this still correct or are there new/different/better methods now? Is Lockpick_RCM still viable? I know that Nintendo took down it's repo, but does it still work on the latest official firmware? I heard some say that it no longer dumps all the keys on newer firmware, is there a replacement if so? I recall there was a replacement called Picklock_RCM made, is this any better to use?
I also don't recall how I exit Lockpick_RCM (or whatever I would use in it's place) to then switch to Hekate
And what do I do once I am done to then reset my switch back to normal and not leave any trace that I ran any homebrew on it?I do use it online so I want to make sure I don't make a mistake, I have never written anything to it using homebrew or hacks, only dumped backups off of it.
